Actress Tori Spelling revealed intimate details about her life during a recent episode of her podcast, including a bathroom mishap.
She also talked about co-parenting challenges with her estranged husband, Dean McDermott. Despite emotional reunions, the couple is finally set to end their marriage after 18 years.
Tori Spelling Reveals She Once Wore And Peed In Her Son's Diaper
On a recent episode of her "misSPELLING" podcast, Spelling shared a candid bathroom mishap. Recounting a moment of desperation while stuck in Los Angeles traffic on the 101 freeway, the mom of five admitted resorting to an unusual solution as she had no time to pull over.
"So I literally reached back in my Tori Poppins bag, and I'm like 'please God something,' and I went through it, and I'm like 'Aha!' a diaper, and I literally put on a diaper and pissed in my pants in Beau's diaper," she shared.
In a previous episode of her podcast, Spelling revealed that her estranged husband, Dean McDermott, used to accompany her to the bathroom, a practice now assumed by her children following their separation.
The "Beverly Hills 90210" actress admitted that she hasn't "pooped [or] peed alone in 18 years," adding that "first it was Dean, then it was kids."
"Beau still stands there and stares and talks to me while I'm pooping," Spelling shared on her podcast. "I think I function better with people," she justified.
Netizens Label Tori Spelling 'Gross' For Admitting To Using Her Son's Diaper To Pee
X (formerly Twitter) users weren't too pleased with Spelling's confession, calling out the mother of five for giving "too much information."
One person wrote, "GROSS TORI," while another commented, "EW."
A third person wrote, "Why is she telling us all this information?" while a fourth wondered how the 50-year-old managed to "fit in a baby diaper" inside her car.
"Omg, enough already; keep those toilet details to yourself, Tori," another individual tweeted.
However, several also supported Spelling, with one person saying, "If you've ever been on LA's 405 in 5:00 traffic through the Sepulveda pass in a rain storm, you'll understand this."
Another person noted, "Better than doing it on the side of the road."
She Is 'Co-Parenting Very Well' With Her Ex-Husband Dean McDermott
In the same episode of her podcast, Spelling also discussed the challenges of co-parenting with McDermott following their separation last summer.
Recalling a difficult visit to McDermott while he was in rehab, she shared: "I went to see him once when he was in rehab. And we were with therapists, and it got painful and argumentative. It was a lot."
She added: "I didn't feel like he was doing well. Like, there was still a lot of anger and aggression, and so I didn't go back. And I know that hurt him a lot. He felt like we abandoned him when he was going through that process. But I had to do what was right for the kids."
Despite initial setbacks, the 50-year-old expressed optimism about the current state of their co-parenting relationship, stating: "We're co-parenting very well right now. Like, the kids are seeing him again, and they're happy with his progress and the work he's done on himself. And they're proud of him, and we like his girlfriend."
Spelling also expressed her hope for an amicable future, adding, "You hope it works out like that. You always hope that. I don't know. I don't know what's gonna happen now."
Tori Spelling Files For Divorce From Dean McDermott After 18-Years Of Marriage
Last month, Spelling initiated divorce proceedings against her estranged husband, McDermott, following a 10-month separation and an 18-year marriage.
According to legal documents obtained by the DailyMail, the "Scary Movie" star cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce, listing the date of separation as June 17, 2023.
The couple shares five young children: Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10, and Beau, 6. Spelling requested sole physical custody but is open to joint legal custody and visitation rights for McDermott.
In the divorce documents, Spelling also requested spousal support but sought to bar McDermott from requesting spousal support from her. However, asset division and property settlement are pending, with no mention of a prenuptial agreement.
The Former Couple Were Reportedly 'Ready To Move On With Their Lives'
The divorce filing came days after Spelling and McDermott had a visibly emotional reunion in Los Angeles. The exes were spotted meeting up at a local Public Storage facility to sort through several bins and boxes of their personal belongings.
According to a source who spoke to People magazine, Spelling and McDermott had reached a "better place after everything reached a crisis point" in their relationship.
The insider described Spelling as protective of their children: "She was being a mama bear protecting her cubs and gave him an ultimatum that he had to get help in order to spend time with the kids."
"He did get that help last year and has been doing well. They're both ready to move on with their lives and focused on making sure the kids are in a healthy environment," the tipster noted.
