The 1975's Matty Healy can rest easy now that Taylor Swift's new album, "The Tortured Poets Department," is out. The singer and his family were reportedly worried that Swift would sing negatively about their short-lived romance. This led to more worries about what Swift's fan base would do if that happened.
Although Swift and Healy reportedly don't talk anymore, their romantic bond was strong, real, and "extremely passionate." In the album, the "Style" singer seemingly mentioned her past romance with Healy in multiple songs, singing about how much she cared for him.

A source told Us Weekly that Healy was worried about what Swift might say about him and their relationship in the newly released project.
They said, "Matty still thinks very highly of Taylor but we were all nervous about what she might have said on the album."

Matty Healy Was Worried About The Swifties Too
The insider further spoke about Healy's anxiety as the album's release approached.

They said, "He was worried that their story would be shed in a negative light."

Some fans posted many comments on social media at the time, calling on Swift to cut ties with Healy and set the record straight about their then-rumored romance.
Fans also dug up past interviews with Healy, which showed him making controversial remarks about other musicians, particularly rapper Ice Spice, with whom Swift eventually collaborated on the remix of her song "Karma."

Fans Point Out Where Taylor Swift Mentioned Matty Healy
After Swift finally released "TTPD," fans quickly pointed out tracks where she mentioned her romance with Healy. A good example is the track "But Daddy I Love Him," in which she potentially mentions her brief romance with Healy.
In "The Tortured Poets Department," the album's titular song, Swift also sings about someone sleeping off next to her "like a tattooed golden retriever." Healy is well known for his many tattoos. The song also has lyrics about typewriters and a person who loved them a lot.
In a 2018 interview with GQ, Healy discussed typewriters and said he "couldn't live without" them.
He said, "I really like typewriters ... the thing is with typewriters, and writing with pen to paper, there's an element of commitment that goes with the ceremony of it. It requires concentration a bit better."
