Rapper Glorilla Bags A Traffic Charge After Arrest For DUI

GloRilla may want to think twice about drinking and driving in Georgia following her recent run-in with the law.

The female rapper spent time behind bars this week following her arrest on DUI charges. Surprisingly, fans would never have known about the incident as the "Yeah Glo!" hitmaker is more focused on promoting her new single.

According to a police report, GloRilla was arrested and booked early Tuesday morning on three charges — suspicion of driving under the influence, consuming/possessing an open alcoholic beverage container, and a separate traffic charge in Gwinnett County, GA.

She was taken to jail around 6:12 AM ET and was released on bail a few hours later. As for what led to her arrest, the report described a wild encounter between the rapper and authorities that involved a wardrobe malfunction.

Law enforcers recalled seeing a vehicle making a U-turn at a red traffic light around 4 AM ET, so they pulled the driver over to figure out what went wrong. The officer who wrote the report noted he smelled marijuana and alcohol emanating from GloRilla's car.

The cop, per TMZ, noted the Hip-hop star confessed she had been drinking that evening, but he claimed she wouldn't tell him how much she had consumed and insisted she was good to drive.

The report continued with a description of the multiple sobriety tests GloRilla underwent to prove she wasn't driving under the influence. Law enforcers made her do the eye-follow test, the walk-and-turn, one-leg balance, walk-in-a-straight-line, and more.

The reporting officer observed that the rapper had difficulty staying on her feet and failed all the tests before cops pulled out the final test — a breathalyzer. However, GloRilla allegedly refused to use the breathalyzer.

During the tests and GloRilla's resistance to the breathalyzer, the police officer noted she suffered a wardrobe malfunction. Her breasts reportedly slipped out from under her clothes, and she didn't notice until the cop pointed it out.

As stated, the ordeal ended with GloRilla's arrest, and cops noted that one of her associates retrieved her vehicle. Although the incident happened days earlier, the Hip-hop star has not addressed the situation.

Instead, GloRilla has been actively promoting her new song "Wanna Be," featuring fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Her social media pages, especially Instagram, is full of fans twerking to the catchy tune, but no indication of her run-in with the law.

Three months before the DUI drama, The Blast reported the Hip-hop sensation declared she would abstain from bedroom activities. GloRilla made the vow after 50 Cents revealed celibacy was a part of his 2024 goals.

In January, GloRilla announced she was following 50 Cent's footsteps by joining the celibacy challenge. She shared her goal on X, formerly known as Twitter, with a bit of humor, writing:

"Started my 90 day celibacy lil sh-t for new year's or wtv, I'm on da 9th day & my vision blurry af !!!!! Send help."

The entertainer's announcement received mixed reactions from fans, with some noting she couldn't abstain from bedroom activities. One X user declared, "You not making it 90 days I stamp that."

Another fan alleged, "She's celibate by choice gang." Meanwhile, an X user encouraged GloRilla to stay committed to her goals by commenting: "I'm on day 60. Started mine November 9th."

The Blast previously reported that 2023 was a difficult year for GloRilla following the tragic deaths at her Rochester concert. On March 5, multiple fans were injured when the crowd rushed towards the exit, frightened by a banging sound they assumed were gunshots.

The aftermath of the panic was brutal, with three women found in life-threatening conditions, while seven other people were transported to Strong Hospital with minor injuries. Unfortunately, a few concertgoers passed away, taking with them a piece of GloRilla's heart.

She addressed the deaths on X with an emotional message, writing: "I am devastated & heartbroken over the tragic deaths that happened after Sunday's show. My fans mean the world to me, praying for their families & for a speedy recovery of everyone affected."
