“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore is square with the federal government after she handed over $150,000 in back taxes.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the IRS has filed a release of a federal tax lien filed against the reality star. The release means Moore has paid off the entire debt to the Department of the Treasury.
The lien was originally filed back in October and accused her of owing a total of $152,678.36 for the year 2016. The IRS even placed the lien against Moore’s ATL home at the time. Moore would give birth only weeks after the IRS filed the lien. She welcomed her baby girl, Brooklyn, on November 4 with her husband, Marc Daly.
Daly might have been able to help out his new wife with some money with him being a very successful businessman himself. He owns a Brooklyn restaurant called in SoCo.
Kenya isn’t the only “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star with tax troubles, her co-star Porsha Williams has paid off a massive $240,000 debt to the IRS. She was then slapped with a separate state tax lien for an unpaid $28k. The reality star has yet to pay that debt to the State of Georgia.
