Hannah Waddingham Confronts Photographer After Alleged 'Misogynistic' Comment

Don't mess with Hannah Waddingham! When snapping photos ahead of the Olivier Awards, Waddingham called out a photographer after they allegedly made a "misogynistic" comment towards her.
The one-shoulder design and high-leg split of her custom Marchesa dress seemed to grab one of the cameramen's attention as he allegedly made a comment about Waddingham's leg.
Hannah Waddingham Opts For Sheer Look At The Olivier Awards
The 'Ted Lasso' actress hosted the Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London. She opted for a stunning sheer look, modeling a custom Marchesa lilac gown adorned with diamonds from head to toe. She completed her look with a pair of lilac stilettos.
Unfortunately, things heated up after Waddington overheard a comment made by one of the photographers when she posed for the camera on the steps of the Royal Albert Hall.
Hannah Waddingham Will Not Put Up With Disrespectful Comments
According to a social media post shared by a fan account, Waddingham confronted a photographer after she overheard a comment about her legs.
“Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man,” Waddingham is heard saying. “Don’t be a d---, otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say ‘Show me leg.’ No.”
After fans learned of the incident, they labeled Waddingham as a "role model" for not putting up with "misogynistic" comments.
"I not only saw Hannah Waddingham, but I saw Hannah Waddingham being p-ssed at an a--hole misogynistic pr-ck photographer and calling him off on it, and I never yelled MOTHER so loud," one X user shared.

The comments continued to pour in, as many X users thanked the actress for standing up for herself and for women everywhere.
"I bow down… good for her," one user shared after hearing about the incident.
"D---, rude photographer. I’m glad she called him out!" one user shared, adding, "And I’m glad her friend Michael Ball was there to [give her] a hug; I’m sure she needed it [ that moment."
Another social media user commented, "I could not love her more! I absolutely LOVE that she stands her ground and will not let people treat her like crap."
One X user pointed out, "I think he might have said, 'Show me your leg', as she [repeated] that back to him. It must be so exhausting having to educate old-school men like this—no wonder she walked away; she's busy working."

In the video, you can hear Waddingham telling the photographer off after they allegedly said, "Show me your legs." She then walks off, graceful as ever, as the crowd cheers.
"Long story short: Hannah [Waddingham] was being her gorgeous self and the [cameraman] made some comment about her leg we couldn't quite make out," the X user shared along with the video. "And, well, the video speaks for itself. This woman is a role model. Always, always calls pr-cks out on their b-llsh-t."
The response from social media users was huge, with nearly 8,000 likes and nearly 1,000 re-shares. "If I ever see this man in front of me, I might kick his a--, not only for the comment, but because she was coming to where I was, and he RUINED my chances," one eyewitness shared.
Photographer Labeled As 'Creepy Old Man'
The comments didn't end there, as one X user called the photographer a "creepy old man."
"The snapper wanted her to show some leg, and she politely said he wouldn’t ask a man to do that. Good for her. Creepy old man," the social media user shared.
One fan called her a "queen" while another user called her an "icon." A third user added, "Just when I thought I couldn’t love her more!"
Meanwhile, one X user claims they have "some good friends who recently worked with her" and the actress "is everything you think she is. Fabulous, clever & brave."
