Selena Gomez's Dog Charlie Dyed Bright Blue!

Selena Gomez's puppy Charlie is feeling a little blue ... mainly because his fur was dyed to a nice shade of sapphire.

The "Wolves" singer's Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was seen going for a walk near her Los Angeles home sporting the new fancy fur.

Sources close to Selena tell The Blast the dye used on Charlie was indeed doggy safe, and there's no real meaning behind it, it was just done ... well ... out of the blue.

Selena got the dog last year shortly after her life-saving kidney transplant, and has been seen taking him all over the place.

He may be blue ... but that sure looks like one happy puppy!
