Morgan Wallen Allegedly Flirted With Woman Moments Before Chair Toss

Just moments before Morgan Wallen tossed a chair from six stories high, he was seen chatting and allegedly flirting with a woman.

The singer-songwriter was arrested late Sunday, April 7 after he threw a chair from the sixth floor of Eric Church's new six-story bar and restaurant on Broadway. He was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment.

As people try to piece together the story in an attempt to figure out what went wrong, new photos have surfaced, which show Wallen talking to a woman moments before he was placed in handcuffs.

"Country artist Morgan Wallen, 30, was booked early [Monday, April 8] on three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for throwing a chair from the rooftop of Chief's Bar Sun night. The chair landed on Broadway, close to two MNPD officers," the Metro Nashville Police Department stated.

Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson, released a statement: "At 10:53 pm Sunday evening, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities."

TMZ obtained photos of the 'Last Night' singer hanging out with a female and two other gentlemen when on the sixth story. In one snap, Wallen readjusts his white ball cap while making direct eye contact with the woman.

Eyewitnesses told the outlet that Wallen appeared to be intoxicated and seemed to be flirting with the woman approximately 20 minutes before the cops arrested him.

In another picture, Wallen and the woman are seen talking while one of the men stands a few feet away, seemingly giving them some space. These pictures were captured at 10:50 p.m., just three minutes before the chair hit the sidewalks at 10:53 p.m.

Officers who viewed security footage say they saw the country artist "lunging and throwing an object over the roof," the report stated, according to The Tennessean. The 'Last Night' artist was arrested late Sunday, April 7, and was booked early Monday, April 8.

Wallen was released around 3:30 a.m. Monday on a $15,250 bond. He is due in court on May 3.

It remains unclear what led Wallen to pick up and launch the chair off the building, but rumors claim it was a reaction to him finding out his ex had gotten married.

This is not the first time that Morgan Wallen has been placed in handcuffs. In 2020, he got kicked out of Kid Rock's Big A-- Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse and was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Following his arrest, Wallen released the following statement:

"Hey, y'all just wanted to clear the air. I went out downtown last night with a few old friends. After a couple [of] bar stops, we were horse-playing with each other. We didn't mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected."

After the recent arrest, a source came forward and claimed that Morgan Wallen "doesn't know when to stop" drinking, hinting that he may have a problem with alcohol.

"Morgan is generally a nice, fun person to hang out with, but when he gets going he doesn't know when to stop," the source told PEOPLE. "Morgan and alcohol is a problem, and it's been a problem that keeps coming back around."

The singer-songwriter frequently references drinking in his music, including his song, 'Born with a Beer in My Hand.'

"Everybody says it's gonna be the death of me / But these days I’m livin' on the side of alive / Just 'cause I smile through my sobriеty / Don't mean it ain't chillin' in the back of my mind / I ain't sayin' I swore it off for good / I’m just sayin’ I'm doin’ thе best I can / But what do you expect from a redneck? / Hell, I was born with a beer in my hand," the song goes.

When speaking to Billboard a few years ago, Morgan Wallen revealed he completed a 30-day rehab program, which helped him with his relationship with alcohol.
