Meghan Markle Allegedly Rethinking Family Trip To UK As She 'Doesn't Feel Safe'

Meghan Markle might no longer visit the UK with Prince Harry and their kids due to security concerns after details of the family's visit were allegedly leaked.
The leak came after Harry lost his claim against RAVEC regarding being stripped of his royal security arrangements. If reinstated, the security could make Meghan feel more comfortable visiting the UK.
Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Reconsidering Her Visit To The UK
The former actress is considering canceling her upcoming family trip to the UK with Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly concerned about the safety of their two children after a recent leak about their trip.
An insider told OK! Magazine that Meghan is now so apprehensive that the family trip might become a solo one for Harry. The couple were meant to attend the 10th Anniversary service of his Invictus Games event, which will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral on May 8.
According to The Mirror, Harry isn't happy that the trip might become a solo one for him, as he wants their family ties to the UK to be stronger. This is especially due to the royal family's health situation, with King Charles and Princess Kate currently battling cancer.
The Duke Of Sussex Wants To Be 'Supported By His Wife'
Due to the uncertainty surrounding their trip, the couple are said to be at odds with each other regarding a solution. Harry reportedly just wants to be "supported by his wife" as he tries to be there for his family.
A source said, "It's now got to the point where Meghan doesn't want to come to the UK with the children. She just doesn't feel safe. The situation is now about whether the family should attend with increased security or Harry should go it alone."
According to the insider, Harry has pleaded with Meghan because he doesn't want to take the trip alone.
Another source claimed, "He would prefer it if the entire family made regular visits to see his family and build bridges, but there is so much going on behind the scenes that it just isn't possible at the moment."
What Was Harry And Meghan's Original Plan For Their UK Visit?
According to The Mirror, the alleged leaked plan showed that the couple intended to hold a fifth birthday party for their son, Prince Archie, at their home in Montecito on May 6 and then fly to the UK on a private jet the day after.
After landing in the UK, the family planned to stay at an undisclosed location.
The source claimed, "Harry and Meghan are planning a fifth birthday party for Archie at their Montecito home on May 6 and were then going to fly over to the UK on a private jet the following day."
They added, "They were going to attend the Anniversary Service, followed by a few more days in the UK, so the children could meet with members of the Royal Family."
Prince Harry Lost His Royal Security Case
Meghan's major concern about the trip has reportedly been security. Unfortunately, the couple no longer has access to royal security, a battle Harry took to the courts and recently lost.
In a High Court ruling, Judge Peter Lane wrote that RAVEC (Royal and VIP Executive Committee) did not unlawfully remove Harry's security by changing his status after he stepped down as a senior Royal.
RAVEC is an office that coordinates between the Royal Household, the Metropolitan Police, and the Home Office. The judge declared that the office was within its rights to take a "bespoke" and "case-by-case" approach in evaluating Harry's situation according to their policy.
According to The Mirror, Lawyers representing the Home Office have said that despite Harry not being a member of the group whose "security position" comes under RAVEC's review, he could be reintegrated into the program in certain appropriate circumstances.
Royal security would likely make Meghan feel more comfortable visiting the UK with their kids if reinstated. This would mean more opportunities for the royal family to meet with the Sussexes and possibly mend the rift.
Prince Harry Misses Close Relationship With Kate Middleton
During a chat with the news outlet, Royal expert Tom Quinn said that the Duke of Sussex "misses" his relationship with sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
"[Harry] really misses that warm, uncomplicated relationship, and he is torn between loyalty to his wife and regret about the loss of the woman he was so close to," he stated.
Quinn further claimed that "Losing Kate was Harry's second great loss after losing his mother."
However, according to the expert, Meghan has a different perspective regarding her relationship with the Princess of Wales.
"Meghan doesn't feel guilty about Kate because she feels that Kate should've been the one person in the royal family to back her against every difficulty," he claimed.
Quinn further noted that the two ladies may never reconcile, despite Kate's cancer battle, as their relationship "has become so poisonous."
Despite the strain, Harry and Meghan wished Kate "health" and "healing" after she announced her cancer diagnosis.
