Frankie Valli’s son, Emilio, has been granted a temporary restraining order against his brother, Francesco, after claiming he has repeatedly made threats.
According to Emilio, his brother has threatened to harm both him and their father in recent months.
Emilio Says He And Frankie Valli Fear For Their Safety
Emilio, 29, says he and Frankie, 89, fear for their safety after Francesco, 36, attempted to break into his dad’s property on April 5.
According to the filing, obtained by PEOPLE, Emilio and Frankie were waiting for law enforcement to arrive after the attempted break-in when Francesco “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” both Frankie and Emilio.
The family says this is “part of a pattern for the past several months.”
The Valli Family Believes Francesco is 'Addicted To Opiates'

The filing states that Frankie has been financially supporting Francesco, but now that is contingent on Francesco agreeing to enter a residential drug treatment program, as the family believes Francesco is “addicted to opiates.”
Per the filing, Francesco has also been accused of destroying Frankie’s property and stealing, then selling his personal items. Emilio says he believes Francesco is selling their dad's stuff to get money for opiates. He thinks this may be why he showed up at the house.
“Since cutting off [Francesco] financially, [Francesco’s] threats have escalated as well as the sale of personal property of our father, and increased attempts to access the property of our father,” Emilio states in his filing.
Frankie Valli Is 'Saddened By These Unfortunate Events'
Emilio Valli was granted a temporary restraining order, which states that Francesco must not contact his dad or brother and must stay at least 100 yards away from their homes, cars, and workplaces.
“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a rep for Valli told PEOPLE.
A hearing is set for April 29.

Frankie had Francesco Valli Jr. in 1988 with his third wife, Randy Clohessy. He is an actor who has appeared on the popular sitcom 'Full House.' Frankie and Randy then had twins, Emilio and Brando Valli, who were born in 1995.
Frankie Sr. and Randy separated in 2004. “This was a tough breakup because of the boys,” Frankie’s friend Stewie Stone told PEOPLE in 2008. At the time of the separation, Francesco was 20 years old and a college student. “He doesn’t get them as often as he’d like," Stone added. "It’s tough when you have kids, and they’re not in the house anymore. You don’t hear that noise.”
Frankie has three other children: Celia, Antonia, and Francine.
Frankie Valli's Road To Stardom
Frankie Valli is best known as the frontman of The Four Seasons, who produced several hit songs including 'Sherry,' 'Big Girls Don't Cry,' 'Walk Like a Man,' and 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You.'
"I grew up and lived in a project for my entire life, almost, up until [The Four Seasons] had some success, and I had a great appreciation for things, and I knew that everything that went up came down," Frankie told Variety a few years ago of how the group got their start. "And it was really important not to spend the whole wad of whatever you got all on one thing, but to think about tomorrow because if nothing is happening, you would still be able to take care of yourself."
He went on to say, "I’ve seen so many singers who ended up broke, in hospitals. When Jackie Wilson died, he didn’t have anything going for him; I think he was on welfare. Some of the Supremes, that happened with, and there are more and more and more of the same kind of situation."
Frankie Valli also had a successful solo career and continued to perform and record music over several decades. As a solo artist, Valli is known for his number-one hits 'My Eyes Adored You' and 'Grease'. Valli and The Four Seasons band members Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi, and Bob Gaudio were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
