Actress Sydney Sweeney's enviable physique has been a topic of conversation lately, with many wondering how she is able to maintain her shape amid her hectic work schedule.
She reportedly has a demanding fitness routine that includes reformer pilates and water sports. Sweeney also embraces hydration, with water as her beverage of choice.
How Hollywood Star Sydney Sweeney Maintains Her Sculpted Physique
Renowned for her stunning looks and figure, Sweeney has often left fans wondering how she stays fit amid her demanding 18-hour workday, seven days a week.
According to the Daily Mail, the "Euphoria" star partakes in a rigorous routine that encompasses reformer pilates, mixed martial arts (MMA), and water sports.
The actress recently told WSJ Magazine that she has embraced the trend of hardcore Pilates, stating: "I like this place called SolidCore. It's a full-body high-intensity workout but on a reformer, and it's been killing my ass. I love it."
Additionally, the 26-year-old shared that she has a background in MMA competition. Speaking to Women's Health, she recalled a victorious grappling match against bigger opponents.
"It was a grappling competition against all guys a weight category above me, and I got first place," Sweeney said at the time.
"Those guys were probably saying, 'Oh, we didn't want to hurt her,' but they were definitely trying. Everyone broke a sweat!" she added.
Sydney Sweeney Reveals She Only Drinks Water
In addition to Pilates and MMA, Sweeney also credits water sports for sculpting and strengthening her physique. Recalling her upbringing around water activities, she said, "I grew up on the water, always running around in a bikini. If I wasn't swimming in the lake or the ocean, I was skiing or attempting to surf."
The "Reality" star noted the transformative impact on her body, particularly during summers, adding: "I see such a change in my body after an entire summer. My arms are stronger and more sculpted. My abs are rock solid."
Sweeney also shared that she has embraced hydration as a cornerstone of her lifestyle, with water being her beverage of choice, which she admits is now "her thing."
However, despite her disciplined approach, Sweeney indulges in occasional treats, favoring childhood snacks like Kraft mac and cheese while maintaining moderation in her sugar intake.
Her Physical Attributes Spark Debate About 'Woke' Culture
Since coming into the spotlight, Sweeney has sparked a cultural debate as some conservatives now brand her physical attributes as a blow to woke culture.
The actress made headlines in one of Canada's top newspapers, the National Post. "Are Sydney Sweeney's breasts double-D harbingers of the death of woke?" the headline read.
The controversial headline came after Sweeney appeared on "Saturday Night Live," and attention was drawn to her physique in the comedic sketch humorously satirizing the stereotypes associated with her overtly sexualized image.
According to Amy Hamm of the National Post, societal attitudes toward beauty are shifting, challenging the idea of diversity and inclusion.
"We've spent years being chastised for desiring or admiring beauty – because beauty is rare and exclusionary, and to exclude is to hate – or so we've been scolded to accept by today's diversity, equity, and inclusion fanatics," Hamm wrote, per the Daily Mail. "We aren't supposed to admire Sweeney's beauty, but we've done it anyway. The times, they are a-changing."
Richard Hanania, an outspoken critic of woke culture, also shared a video of Sweeney's performance online, declaring, "Wokeness is dead."
Sydney Sweeney: 'People Forget I'm Playing A Character'
Amid the intense debate about her physical attributes, Sweeney has stated that she is unsure of how to approach the matter, as it has become politicized.
In an interview with Variety, Sweeney said, "I see it, and I just can't allow myself to have a reaction. I don't know how to explain it—I'm still trying to figure it out myself."
She added, "People feel connected and free to be able to speak about me in whatever way they want, because they believe that I've signed my life away. That I'm not on a human level anymore, because I'm an actor."
During a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress expressed the same sentiment: "People forget that I'm playing a character. They think: 'Oh, she gets naked on screen, she's a s-- symbol.' And I can't get past that."
The Actress Almost Underwent Breast Reduction Surgery
In an interview with Glamour UK, Sweeney opened up about the pressures and insecurities she faced during her teenage years, particularly regarding her bust size.
The actress revealed that she considered breast reduction as a way to alleviate the discomfort she felt about her body when she clocked 18, but for her mom, who warned her against it.
"When I was in high school, I used to feel uncomfortable about how big my boobs were, and I used to say that when I turned 18, I was going to get to make them smaller," Sweeney recounted.
She continued, "And my mom told me, 'Don't do it. You'll regret it in college.' And I'm so glad I didn't. I like them. They're my best friends."
