Wendy Williams has announced she will be dissolving the substance abuse charity she recently launched, and her soon-to-be ex-husband is concerned many people, including recovering addicts themselves, will now be without jobs.

Wendy announced Wednesday on her talk show that she will be ending The Hunter Foundation, but “remains committed to helping others in the struggles of life.”

Wendy said she would still focus on other charities, but did not get specific on which ones.

The foundation was set up by Wendy and estranged husband Kevin Hunter. She promoted the foundation and the drug abuse hotline on her show after revealing she was receiving treatment herself.

Sources close to Kevin tell The Blast, he is concerned about the people from the call center who are now going to lose their jobs, including many who are recovering addicts themselves. He also believes Wendy is trying to distance herself from anything relating to drug addiction and substance abuse.

As of now, the hotline is still taking calls, but we are told the staff was informed yesterday that the foundation is ending.

Wendy is clearly trying to remove all traces of Kevin from her life following filing for divorce, even detailing the new single life she is enjoying now. It's unclear if she will relaunch a similar foundation WITHOUT any connection to her estranged husband.
