Drake called in some heavy firepower to help him secure a W against a company he was battling in court, but then he left the guy high and dry so now he's on the hook for some of his settlement cash.

The Blast obtained a lawsuit filed this month against the "God's Plan" rapper by CMG Worldwide Founder & Chairman, Mark Roesler, who touts himself as a "dominant force in the evolving intellectual property arena."

Last year, Drake was involved in a legal dispute with production company, Hebrew Hustle, who claimed Drake had infringed on one of their songs. The rapper ended up countersuing for false endorsement and right of publicity, claiming Hebrew Hustle was using his name on their website to tout a business relationship.

Roesler was brought in for a deposition, and claims he agreed to be deposed by Drake's legal team in exchange for $5,312. Roesler claims the deposition went down in October, 2018 and sat for over 8 hours.

He doesn't describe exactly why he was called in, but Roesler more than likely used his intellectual property expertise to set a monetary value for Drake's image as attorneys built a case to prove that Hebrew Hustle had cost the rapper serious money.

Drake ended up hashing out a settlement with Hebrew Hustle, who agreed to compensate the star before the case was dismissed. Only problem is, Roesler claims he never got his payment and was forced to file on Drake in small claims court.
