Hollywood star Jamie Foxx is reportedly doing well following his health scare last year when he was hospitalized for a mysterious illness.

According to a source, the actor is his "old self" again and has gone back to doing what he loves. Foxx is set to return to host "Beat Shazam" alongside his daughter, Corinne Foxx.

He recently revealed that he plans on opening up about his health scare during a Stand-Up comedy show that he has yet to announce.

A source told People Magazine that the Academy Award-winning actor is "doing incredibly well" as he prepares for his return to the show "Beat Shazam" and other projects he has lined up.

"He is so busy and back to doing what he loves," the source told the news outlet, adding, "Jamie didn't skip a beat on 'Beat Shazam.' He was literally right back to his old self. Really on it!"

Last year, in April, Foxx had to take a step back from several projects while he was hospitalized for an undisclosed illness.

Although details of his health battle are shrouded in mystery, the actor revealed at the seventh annual AAFCA Special Achievement Awards that he will share what happened to him during a Stand-Up comedy show.

He Is 'Living Clean' And Enjoying His Good Health

According to a second insider, Foxx "is super busy, happy, and strong" since being discharged from a rehab facility last year.

"He is gung ho work now, living clean and enjoying his good health," the source claimed.

They added, "Jamie is a social guy, he likes to be around his friends, he has to be busy doing all kinds of different things. He is a bonafide entrepreneur with new projects bubbling all of the time."

Following his health scare, Foxx had to put several projects on hold, including his movie, "Back In Action," featuring Hollywood star Cameron Diaz. Since his recovery, the actor has returned to work on the project.

The "Annie" star has other films lined up, including "Tin Soldier" and "Not Another Church Movie." Per the source, Foxx, who starred in four films last year, "also has to be busy" because "he loves it."

At the recent African American Film Critics Association Awards, held at the Los Angeles Athletic Club, Foxx was awarded the AAFCA's Producers Award, during which he gave a touching acceptance speech.

During the speech, Foxx joked about his severe health scare and how it made him appreciate the daily pleasures life brings. He also joked about how he "passed away" while fighting for his life at the time.

Foxx said, "Cherish life, man. I have some people in my life that really made sure I was here because it was dire straits. So I value, I'm telling you. My daughter thinks sometimes I'm too thankful, nowadays. Because I'm just so thankful."

"I was drinking some water, 'Wow, have you tasted this water? It's so wet! This is the wettest water. Was it like this before I passed away?'" the actor quipped.

Since news of his medical emergency made headlines last year, Foxx and his family have kept details of the incident private. However, on Sunday, the "Django Unchained" star said he'll open up about the experience but in a "funny way" and back "on the stage."

At the AAFCA event, Foxx said, per Variety: "Everybody wants to know what happened, and I'm going to tell you what happened. But I've gotta do it in my way. I'm gonna do it in a funny way. We're gonna be on the stage. We're gonna get back to the stand-up sort of roots."

He further noted that the stand-up special will be titled "What Had Happened Was" and will have all the juicy information the world has been asking for.

Foxx also teased that the stand-up show will address all the wild conspiracy theories and rumors that spread about him after the health scare, including that a clone had replaced him.

In a post celebrating his NAACP Award nods, Foxx expressed his gratitude for a "second chance" at life following his mysterious health scare.

"And on a personal note, I am humbled and thankful to God that I get a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life …," he shared, tagging his daughter, Corinne Foxx, and sister, Deidra Dixon.

During his acceptance speech for his Critic Choice Vanguard Award, Foxx noted that he "couldn't actually walk" during his health battle and that he "wouldn't wish what [he] went through on [his] worst enemy because it's tough."

"I have a new respect for life. I have a new respect for my art. I watched so many movies and listened to so many songs, trying to have the time go by. Don't give up on your art, man, don't give up," he added.
