Kroy Biermann is calling BS on his estranged wife Kim Zolciak’s refusal to hand over her financial documents.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star recently filed a motion to stop Biermann's request for a financial disclosure, claiming her family’s privacy was at risk. However, her former beau is sharing a different story.
Kroy Biermann Claims Kim Zolciak Has A History Of Lavish Spending
In new court documents, Biermann clapped back at Zolciak’s motion to keep her finances private and accused her of dodging the order for shady reasons. According to him, the reality TV star is using the privacy plea as a smokescreen for her lavish spending.
The former NFL star backed up his claims with a spreadsheet of Zolciak’s spending habits during their marriage. He alleged that she had spent over $600K from 2016 to 2023, mostly on famous brands like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Ave, Chanel, Versace, and Agent Provocateur.
Besides filling up her wardrobe, Biermann accused his ex of spending a fortune on the lottery and Bitcoin. Per TMZ, she paid $161,912.87 on these ventures in 2021 and $65,966.95 in 2022 — lavish spending habits that continue to play a significant part in the duo's contentious divorce.
Biermann Claims Zolciak Is Happy To Only Spend On Herself
The former athlete stressed in his documents that Zolciak enjoyed spending hefty amounts on herself. As for her recent spending, he highlighted her social media updates about getting expensive beauty procedures from vaginal rejuvenation to Botox injections.
Biermann noted that while she wasted no time shelling out dollar bills for her happiness, the same could not be said about her contribution to their household affairs. Not only was Zolciak allegedly dodging bills, but she was also stashing cash in her separate bank account.
The former couple's financial woes have been making waves for months, with the IRS and multiple debt collectors breathing down their necks. The pair have also been unsuccessful in alleviating their money issues with the sale of their Georgia mansion.
Zolciak Filed To Protect Her Family’s Privacy
As stated, the Bravo star recently filed to protect her family’s privacy following claims that Biermann had been leaking their divorce proceedings to media outlets. She cited this plea in her response to his motion to compel discovery.
A motion to compel discovery is a legal action that asks the court to enforce a request for information from another party. In this case, Biermann wants Zolciak to cough up her financial documents — an action she claimed would jeopardize their privacy.
In her response, the mother of six stressed that the duo's divorce has received "intense attention from the media" and claimed their private information has been shared on multiple social media accounts plus various media outlets.
Given the privacy issue, Zolciak entered into a consent order that would protect anyone related to the divorce case. She filed the Expedited Motion for Protection Order on February 5, 2024, but is still waiting for the court's ruling.
She Promises To Comply Once Their Privacy Is Guaranteed
Zolciak stressed that she would not hand over any documents while awaiting the court's ruling on the protection request. However, she implied she would happily cooperate once the law guarantees the privacy of Zolciak, her children, and those related to the divorce case.
A month before refusing Biermann's request for her financial documents, the reality TV star accused him of publicizing details of their divorce. She noted the press had access to information that should usually be restricted, including embarrassing details about the former couple.
Zolciak noted that her estranged husband was behind the leaks, claiming he rejected her proposal for the confidentiality order. She believed if he weren't guilty, he would wish to keep their divorce proceedings private.
Kroy Biermann Filed To Get His Share Of Zolciak’s Designer Sales
Earlier this year, Biermann requested that the court intervene in the sharing of Zolciak’s designer sale profits. Since their financial situation became public in 2023, the mother of six has turned to selling part of the duo's wardrobe on social media.
However, Biermann claimed he was excluded from the sale and its profits. He stressed that he wasn't aware if the items being sold were marital property or Zolciak’s separate belongings, nor did he know where the funds were going.
“What is known is that none of the funds have been utilized to support the marital estate,” his legal documents read.
Describing their financial situation as “dire,” Biermann implored the court for the equitable distribution of the personal items so they could to solve their money issues.
