Controversial rapper Kanye West has been slammed with a scathing new lawsuit by an ex-employee who alleges that the Yeezy founder wanted to shave the heads of kids who attended his Donda Academy and lock them in cages.
The former employee also claims in the lawsuit that West spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories in front of the staff and children of the private school named after his late mother, Donda West.
Kanye West Allegedly Wanted To Shave The Heads Of Children And Lock Them In Cages
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, former Yeezy employee Trevor Phillips accused West of "severe discrimination, harassment, and retaliation" during his time with the famous rapper's clothing company. Phillips also had responsibilities tied to West's private Christian school, Donda Academy.
In the legal filing, the former employee claims that West “proudly” shared his anti-Semitic conspiracy theories in front of the staff and students and once expressed his desire to "shave" the heads of some kids and his intention “to put a jail at the school."
Additionally, Phillips claimed that in December 2022, during a dinner with West at Nobu Malibu, the rapper made derogatory remarks about Jews, calling them "miserly" and even going so far as to call Adolf Hitler "an innovator." West also allegedly deemed the Holocaust "fake."
Kanye West Is Also Being Accused Of 'Inappropriate Conduct'
The former employee claimed in his lawsuit that West had a knack for engaging in "incessant inappropriate conduct" and flaunting his "apparent arousal."
"What was meant to be a meeting with his boss about Donda Academy, its curriculum and horticulture, ended up being antisemitic and bigoted soliloquy-topped off with sexual harassment," the legal document reads in part.
Phillips further claimed that West once threatened to attack the LGBTQ community, adding that the "Love Lockdown" rapper said Bill Gates "controls" gay people.
"Yeah I’m going for the gays! FIRST the Jews, THEN the gays!" West allegedly proclaimed.
West is also being accused by Phillips of being discriminatory towards his Black employees, stating that he treated them "palpably worse than white employees” and that he once “commanded” a black campus security guard to “shave his dreads” or lose his job. The guard allegedly chose to resign.
The Ex-Employee Wants The Rapper To Be Barred From Starting Any School For Kids Under 18
In the lawsuit, Phillips noted that West terminated him from his job n May 2023 during one of the rapper's Sunday Services.
In a statement to Page Six, Phillips' attorney, Carney R. Shegerian, said: "By filing this lawsuit, we hope our injured clients’ rights are vindicated, and that the famous artist Mr. West understands that his messages – which we alleged preach discrimination, antisemitism and Hitler-love – have no place in the world."
The disgruntled ex-employee is suing West for a variety of issues, including hostile work environment, harassment, and discrimination.
Phillips is requesting an order to stop West from starting any kind of school for children under the age of 18 in California, as well as general and special damages exceeding $35,000 in addition to attorneys' expenses.
Kanye West Was Previously Accused Of Bieng Anti-Semitic Towards Adidas Employees
In a bombshell New York Times report from last year, West was accused of anti-Semitic actions during his first ever meeting with Adidas. During The Meeting, the rapper allegedly drew a swastika to convey his frustrations with the employees' designs.
The report read, "The Adidas employees, thrilled to get started, had arrayed sneakers and fabric swatches on a long table near a mood board pinned with images. But nothing they showed that day at the company's German headquarters captured the vision Mr. West had shared."
"To convey how offensive he considered the designs, he grabbed a sketch of a shoe and took a marker to the toe. Then he drew a swastika," it continued.
His alleged action shocked the employees as they were "meeting just miles from Nuremberg, where leaders of the Third Reich were tried for crimes against humanity."
According to the report, this action by West was only the beginning of 10 years of him consistently exhibiting anti-Semitic remarks in meetings and interactions with Adidas employees.
The Rapper Apologized To The Jewish Community
Prior to this recent lawsuit, West tendered an apology to the Jewish community in Hebrew. The move came shortly before the release of his album, "Vultures 1," which made many question the rapper's intentions with the apology.
"I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any 'unintended outburst.' I did not intend to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused," West wrote in a since-deleted post on Instagram.
He added, "I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity."
