Tori Spelling Files For Divorce: Demands Physical Custody Of Her Kids, Spousal Support

Tori Spelling has officially filed for divorce nearly one year after separating from Dean McDermott.

This news comes just days after Spelling was spotted having an emotional reunion with McDermott at a storage unit. They were seen going through some items, but things took a turn when the 'Beverly Hills 90210' actress was seen in tears. She also appeared to throw a bag toward McDermott.

According to documents, obtained by The Blast, the actress has demands with the divorce, involving custody of her children -- Beau, Finn, 11, Hattie, 12, and Stella, 15, and Liam, 16.

Per the docs, there was no mention of a prenup, but she has demanded physical custody of their kids and she wants spousal support. Tori listed their date of separation as June 17, 2023.

Last June, McDermott took to social media to announce that he and Spelling were separating after 17 years of marriage. "It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own," McDermott shared in his since-deleted Instagram post.

"We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this," he added.

After he shared the news of the split, he admitted to taking several Ambien sleeping pills with the hope that he would not wake up.

"After I sent the post, I took some more pills, and I took six or seven Ambien in the hopes that I would not wake up," he shared with the Daily Mail. "Thank God I did. Thank God I did. Because I would've ruined so many lives if I had died."

McDermott is currently living in a sober living home.

He later released another statement regarding a big fight the two had.

"My worst memory with Tori is that last fight when I was drunk and angry. It was the night that I raged against her and the children and I saw the light, the final flicker of the flame go out in her eyes," he told Daily Mail. "I posted that because I was at the end of my rope. I didn't know what to do. I had burned everything down yet again."

McDermott admitted that he was also high at the time.

Earlier this month, a source close to the two claimed that "Tori and Dean are in a much better space."

They added that "Dean has been taking care of himself, which has made it easier for him and Tori to co-parent. Dean has been more involved with their kids, and they're all doing well and regrouping as a family."

Spelling is now dating Ryan Cramer, something that is hard for McDermott to see.

"I did see the photographs of Tori kissing another man, and it hurt, I'm not going to lie, but she saw the same thing with Lily," he told the site of his relationship with Lily Calo. "She's given it to me for 18 years and I've been so hard and brutal on her that I just want her to be loved and happy. She deserves it."

The 'Beverly Hills 90210' actress is embracing this new chapter in her life as a source close to Spelling said she. "is having fun and enjoying getting back out there."

Adding, "She doesn't mind that the news of her dating is public. She is moving on too from her relationship with Dean. Things are still new with Ryan and they are talking and getting to know each other. He's a chill guy and that's nice for Tori right now. Her friends are surprised by the recent romance, but also happy for her."

Spelling recently moved into a luxury $15,000-a-month rental home with her five children. The new home is a two-story, five-bedroom, three-bathroom residence with over 3,000 square feet.

It also boasts a new pool, spa, large staircase, and a stunning entryway with a chandelier.
