Drake Bell Labeled As 'A Sick Individual' Amid 'Quiet On Set' Release

Following the release of 'Quiet On Set', some are slamming Drake Bell fans who are standing by the actor, calling them "hypocrites."

As you probably know, Bell has come forward as a victim of s-xual abuse at the hands of former Nickelodeon voice instructor Brian Peck -- who has no relation to Bell's former co-star Josh Peck.

Bell believes the s-xual abuse he endured when he was younger led him to alcohol and drug problems.

“Right after 'Drake & Josh', I was signed, and then I released my second album,” Bell explained in the 'Quiet On Set' docuseries. “I made some really cool movies, but I would have stints of sobriety, and then I would, you know — the pressure would be too much, and all of these demons that I had were very difficult to work through."

Adding, "And so I think a lot of my self-destructive behavior would always just be a temporary fix, and it [would] always creep back up. I went through this bankruptcy and lost my house. I mean, it was absolutely devastating.”

At the time the 'Quiet On Set' crew approached Bell, he said he was "going through so much in [his] personal life and after that interview [he] ended up checking [himself] into rehab." It wasn't until after he got help that he agreed to participate in the documentary.

He stated, "And so through that process, once I got out, I thought to myself, ‘Maybe this is a good time to reach back out to them and say hey, I’m not 100% yet, let’s talk some more, but I’m getting closer to feeling comfortable with finally sharing my story'."

While Bell came forward as a victim of s-xual abuse, some are being accused of forgetting that he was convicted of child endangerment.

"The victim, who is 19, spoke at length about the damage Bell has done to her life, saying he began grooming her when she was 12. She said she initially felt loved and protected by him during online chats and that his messages became “blatantly s-xual” after she turned 15. She said his remarks made her feel uncomfortable, but she felt trapped because she 'idolized' Bell," per AP News.

He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years’ probation on child endangerment charges.

One reader of The Blast spoke out about the "fans" of Drake Bell, calling them "hypocrites."

"Lemme fix that.... 'Fans' of a FELONY convicted Child Pred," the reader expressed. "All these 'Fans' are clowns that obviously are hypocrites. You think this sheet stains victim is enjoying all you 'Fan' clowns propping up HER ABUSER????"

The individual stated, "What Drake Bell went through is SUPER messed up," but "what he did and was CONVICTED of, is SUPER messed up."

"For the record, it was DRAKE BELL, whom after being convicted, had the nerve to do a 'Live' and claim she duped him," the reader went on to claim, adding, "Only a truly sick individual gets convicted of this, then goes 'Live' to blame his victim."

"SHE WAS 12!! NO MISTAKING THAT FOR LEGAL AGE!!" they concluded.

During the trial, the victim spoke out stating, “I was definitely one of his biggest fans. I would have done anything for him.”

The woman explained that she and Bell exchanged explicit photos online and accused him of engaging in s-xual conduct with her on several occasions. She called Bell a “pedophile” and a “coward.”

During his interview on 'Quiet On Set', Bell addressed his child endangerment charges in 2021. Following the release, he spoke further on those charges.

“It’s difficult. So, you’re battling with things that are being said about you that are completely false and untrue, but you’re being completely attacked for it,” Bell said on the Sarah Fraser Show. “But also juxtaposing that, I have to take responsibility and accountability because nobody grabbed my hand and forced me to do those things — I mean, other than Brian."

He added, "But the decisions that I made are mine and mine alone, and you know you have to process that and work through it, but it’s difficult at the same time when there’s so much misinformation and lies and things being said about you.”
