Willow Smith caught the attention of some heavy hitters in the adult film industry after she stood up for porn during a discussion with her mother and grandmother, and now she’ll have the chance to get her hands dirty with an offer for full creative control of an adult film.
The Blast obtained a letter sent to Willow’s team this week from Bree Mills, an award-winning adult filmmaker. Mills is the Chief Creative Officer at Adult Time, a streaming service which has touted itself as the Netflix of porn.
In the letter, Mills thanks Willow for the “public statements you recently made about the negative impacts of stigmatizing porn,” which Willow made during an episode of “Red Table Talk.”
Mills continues, “Adult films that are artistic and progressive provide an opportunity for people to explore and connect around issues of sexuality, which is very difficult to find in other aspects of today’s society and education systems,” adding, “This is something that, as a woman and an award-winning adult filmmaker, I take very seriously.”
During the episode of “RTT,” Willow mentions that she would be open to working on an adult project if it had artistic value, so Mills is giving Will and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s daughter the chance to “direct an adult film, digital series or documentary of your choosing,” and adds that she will have “full artistic control.”
The filmmaker hopes Willow will take her up on the offer, and “show the world that, just because a story has sex in it, doesn’t mean it can’t also be a worthy piece of entertainment.”
It’s currently unclear if Willow will take Mills up on her offer.
