The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have sent their well-wishes to their relative, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, after she announced her cancer diagnosis.

The couple previously distanced themselves from claims that sources close to them had mocked Kate's Mother's Day photoshop fail.

Besides Harry and Meghan, several other individuals have also shown their support for Kate as she undergoes treatment for cancer.

Shortly after Kate released a video to share the news of her shock cancer diagnosis, her royal relatives from across the pond, Harry and Meghan, sent in their message of support.

In a short statement to Harper's Bazaar, the pair said, "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace."

Since stepping down from their roles as senior royals, relations between the Sussexes and the Waleses have been reportedly frosty, with reduced communications. Despite that, this statement comes as no surprise due to the importance of the situation.

Harry also recently put family feuds aside to show support for his father after it was announced that he was diagnosed with cancer.

The news of their message comes shortly after they slammed reports that they had mocked the princess' Mother's Day photo after it was revealed that she had Photoshopped it.

Following the controversy the "doctored" photo caused, Page Six claimed that an official source from the Duke and Duchess of Suussex's camp mocked Kate's photo and commented on what Meghan would have done if she were in the same position.

Swiftly, a spokesperson from Harry and Meghan's Archewell Foundation has now come out to deny the reports, stating that it did not come from them.

"With respect to Page Six, that did not come from us," the spokesperson said, per Newsweek.

The Princess of Wales recently shocked the world when she shared the news of her cancer diagnosis.

Kate, who had become the subject of gossip and wild conspiracy theories, made a candid announcement about her health and well-being, noting that while her abdominal surgery in January was successful, she learned at the same time that she had cancer.

She said, "I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery. It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I've had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful."

The princess added, "In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."

In her video message, Kate shared that the news of her cancer diagnosis "came as a shock" to her and Prince William, noting that it was especially difficult to explain what was going on to her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The 42-year-old noted: "As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them and to reassure them that I am going to be ok."

She added, "As I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirit."

During her absence from the public eye, old rumors about William's alleged affair with Rose Hanbury surfaced, which reportedly made it even harder for the princess to cope with her recovery.

In her message, Kate highlighted how important it has been to have her husband's support during this period.

"Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too. As is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both," Kate shared.
