Following the bombshell docuseries that made allegations toward Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon, many former child actors are still connected to the former producer.
‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV’, which is now streaming on MAX, took viewers into the "dark side" of many favorite 90s television shows including 'The Amanda Show', 'Drake & Josh', 'All That', and more. Various former actors and actresses, writers, and other crew members spoke out about their experience with the network, claiming there was a toxic work environment, favoritism, and verbal abuse, among other allegations.
Dan Schneider: The Man Behind Ariana Grande's S-xualized Scenes?
There have been various clips circulating social media that seemingly show Ariana Grande in, what can be considered, sexual scenes. One of the scenes in question shows the former Nickelodeon star in a bedroom attempting to squeeze a potato to get the juice out. Accusations claim that this was a reference to pleasuring a man until he ej---lated.
This was just one of many scenes involving Ariana and alleged dirty jokes, something Schneider has since commented on.
“Let’s cut those jokes out of the show, just like I would have done 20 years ago or 25 years ago,” Schneider said in a newly released interview addressing the recent docuseries, ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV’, “I want my shows to be popular. I want everyone to like [the shows], the more people who like the shows, the happier I am. So if there’s anything that needs to be cut because it’s upsetting somebody, let’s cut it.”
Despite the allegations made against Schneider, Ariana Grande still follows the former Nickelodeon producer on Instagram, leading many to believe she "took the hush money."
Ariana Grande Still Follows Dan Schneider Despite Allegations
The Blast has confirmed that Ariana Grande, who starred on Nickelodeon shows such as 'Victorious' and 'Sam & Cat', is still linked to Dan Schneider as she is following him on Instagram.
While Ariana has never come out and accused Dan Schneider of any abuse or misconduct during her time on Nickelodeon, some behind-the-scenes video clips have been leaked, which some say show the singer "uncomfortable" around Schneider, such as in the recording studio or on set between takes.
Ariana Grande is not the only former Nickelodeon star to still follow Schneider on Instagram, as The Blast has found others.
Victoria Justice Is Still Connected To Dan Schneider
While Victoria Justicehas not come out and directly accused Dan Schneider of any abuse, there have been rumors that she was one of the many stars who was sexualized by the former Nickelodeon producer.
However, it seems there is no bad blood between the two, as Victoria is one of the few former child stars to still follow Schneider on social media.
It should also be noted that Victoria Justice was not part of ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV', as she only appears in archive footage and is mentioned in passing. She did not appear nor make any allegations.
'Victorious' Star Elizabeth Gillies Follows Dan Schneider Despite Accusations
The last former Nickelodeon star that The Blast has confirmed to still be following Dan Schneider is Elizabeth 'Liz' Gillies, who portrayed Jade West in 'Victorious'.
One clip is circulating the internet, which shows Liz and Ariana hanging out on set in between takes, and many are noticing Liz's body language and behavior once Schneider comes over and begins recording them. While Liz has not made any allegations towards Dan Schneider, some claim there was still something off whenever she was around the former Nickelodeon producer.
Dan Schneider Issues An Apology Following Bombshell Docuseries
After watching ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV’, which is now streaming on MAX, Dan Schneider broke his silence, admitting that "watching over the past two nights was very difficult."
Dan Schneider sat down with BooG!E, who played T-Bo on the hit series, ‘iCarly’, claiming “Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret, I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”
"I could see the hurt in some people’s eyes and it made me feel awful and regretful and sorry," he said in the interview, adding, "I wish I could go back, especially to those earlier years of my career, and bring the growth and the experience that I have now and just do a better job and never, ever feel like it was okay to be an a–hole to anyone, ever."
Schneider was creating a toxic work environment, with racism, verbal abuse, favoritism, and inappropriate behavior toward young actors and actresses.
