"Big Little Lies" star Zoë Kravitz is opening up about an eating disorder she suffered from as a teen, which she says was caused partially from being surrounded by models.

30-year-old Zoë spoke to British Vogue where she talks about being raised by her famous parents, Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz.

She describes an incident where Lenny came to pick her up from school at the same time his massive hit, “Fly Away,” was at the top of the charts. Zoë says her whole school would swarm her father saying, "I always thought, 'I know why I’m so excited to see him, because it’s rare for him to pick me up, but why are you all so excited?'"

Zoë gets deep in the interview, saying it was hard to grow up feeling alienated when surrounded by peers who were only wealthy white kids.

She said it got to her and led to her having a decade-long eating disorder, which started at 13-years-old. The actress said, "My mother was so beautiful and so tiny, I always felt clunky around her, and then my dad was always surrounded by supermodels… I was short, and you feel uncomfortable in your skin anyway at that age.”

Zoë Kravitz says she eventually found happiness and peace and is stoked to marry her fiancé this month, despite rumors she got married earlier this year.

The second season of “Big Little Lies” premieres this Sunday on HBO.
