Dan Schneider, a writer for 'All That', starred in an episode where he was "hand-fed shrimp" and referred to as a "God." Writer Scaach Koul was interviewed for the ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV’ docuseries, where she claims the Nickelodeon producer was able to “hold emotional power over these kids.”

She then went on to describe a specific scene in ‘All That’, where Schneider calls the cast via telephone, which is “like Charlie calling his angels.”

“He’s parodying himself as a big shot producer,” Koul said in the docuseries, adding, “He's being hand-fed shrimp tails and the kids are literally referring to him as God.”

“It really reflects what is happening behind the scenes,” she added.

Dan Schneider, the man behind popular shows including 'All That', 'Kenan & Kel', 'The Amanda Show', 'Drake & Josh', 'iCarly', 'Zoey 101', and 'Victorious', has faced various allegations and controversies over the years. Some of those allegations have been related to misconduct, inappropriate behavior, and mistreatment of young actors on his shows.

Schneider has previously denied any abuse allegations, telling the New York Times in 2021, “I couldn’t, and I wouldn’t have the long-term friendships and continued loyalty from so many reputable people if I’d mistreated my actors of any age, especially minors.”

Dan Schneider Films Skit In Hot Tub With Amanda Bynes

The ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV’ also shared footage of Nickelodeon’s Dan Schneider in a jacuzzi with Amanda Bynes, who was 16 at the time.

Bynes was wearing a swimsuit in the hot tub, next to Dan Schneider, who is fully clothed.

“And he is kind of saying, ‘I created this situation. I am the reason we are in this hot tub. I am pulling the strings.’ Maybe at the time people viewed it as a comedy but I think now some people are very uncomfortable with the implication,” culture writer Scaachi Koul said in the docuseries of the disturbing clip.

While Schneider has not publicly commented on specific allegations, he did issue a statement to the documentary, which stated:

“Everything that happened on the shows I ran was carefully scrutinized by dozens of involved adults. All stories, dialogue, costumes and makeup were fully approved by network executives on two coasts. A standard and practices group read and ultimately approved every script, and programming executives reviewed and approved all episodes. In addition, every day on every set, there were always parents and caregivers and their friends watching us rehearse and film.”
