The dissolution of Grande and Gomez's two-year marriage was officially finalized by a Los Angeles Superior Court judgment on Tuesday. The couple, who had a prenuptial agreement, went their separate ways over a year ago, without any children or major legal entanglements.

Their divorce terms were finalized in October, with a six-month waiting period before the judge's order could be executed. As reported by Daily Mail, Grande agreed to a one-time payment of $1.25 million to Gomez, with no future alimony.

The 30-year-old will also give her ex-husband half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home, in addition to covering up to $25,000 of his legal fees. Their divorce petition cited irreconcilable differences as the grounds for their split.

Grande and Gomez reportedly began dating in early 2020 but kept their relationship under wraps until May of that year amid the pandemic. They made their engagement public on December 20 with a series of photos, including one showcasing her engagement ring.

The pair walked down the aisle five months later, in May 2021, in an intimate ceremony held at Grande's residence in Montecito, California. However, their separation was made public in July 2023, with the "Bang Bang" hitmaker initiating divorce proceedings in October of the same year.

Sources revealed that the former lovebirds attempted to reconcile their marriage months ago, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful. It was further alleged that Dalton had traveled to London in January in a final attempt to salvage their relationship.

Grande deleted all their wedding photos from her Instagram account to emphasize her split from Dalton. She then seemingly entered a romantic relationship with her "Wicked" co-star, Ethan Slater. As The Blast reported in September 2023, an insider claimed:

"Ariana and Dalton have nothing but respect for one another. They're still friends and want to remain that way moving forward. There was no cheating, no resentment between them, the marriage just simply didn't work out. These things happen."

The cordiality between Gomez and Grande was further highlighted in the settlement agreement obtained by The Blast last October.

The settlement agreement includes a provision prohibiting the release, disclosure, or publication of any photographs (including related negatives), tapes, films, or similar recordings, in any form, past or future, depicting activities within or around properties owned by either party.

While the agreement did not explicitly detail the content of these recordings, it ensured the privacy of Gomez and Grande.

Regarding media involvement, the agreement prohibited Gomez from participating in or assisting with any interviews, writing, appearances, or cooperation related to the preparation or presentation of any book, article, interview, program, or other form of publication concerning Grande.

Even though the papers asserted that the confidentiality provision was designed for the benefit of the exes, onlookers surmised that it was majorly drawn up for Grande's protection.

Besides becoming officially divorced, Grande has also been in the news for her latest musical project, "Eternal Sunshine."

The album has since climbed through the charts thanks to its titular track's lyrics which include cryptic lines addressing the experience of being deceived by a cheating partner. Seemingly accusing the partner, some of the lyrics read:

"I've never seen someone lie like you do. So much, even you start to think it's true. So now we play our separate scenes. Now, she's in my bed, layin' on your chest. Now I'm in my head, wonderin' how it ends."
