Leaked Video Allegedly Shows Dan Schneider In Hot Tub With Underage Amanda Bynes

A video is circulating social media, showing Nickelodeon "abuser" Dan Schneider in a hot tub with 16-year-old Amanda Bynes.

The leaked clip comes just as the documentary titled 'Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV' was released.

As you know, Dan Schneider has faced several accusations of creating a toxic work environment on the sets of his Nickelodeon shows. Many former child stars have come out, alleging Schneider was verbally abusive, favored certain stars over others, and behaved inappropriately towards young actors.

These accusations have circulated for years, with some former child actors and industry insiders speaking out against him.

In 2018, Nickelodeon announced that Schneider and the network had parted ways, however, the reason behind this decision was not disclosed.

While there haven't been specific allegations from Bynes toward Schneider in terms of inappropriate behavior, a new video is surfacing, which allegedly shows the two in a hot tub. Bynes was apparently 16 years old when this video was taken, and she was wearing a bikini while Schneider, who is 20 years older than Bynes, was fully clothed, sitting just inches away from the former Nickelodeon star.

This was seemingly part of the reoccurring sketch, 'Amanda's Jacuzzi', in which the former Nickelodeon star had surprise guests in the hot tub as she asked a round of interview questions.

Schneider alleged to have written this particular skit himself. Commentators called the scene "very uncomfortable."

When you watch the video it is Amanda Bynes, clearly very young, wearing a swimsuit in a hot tub and next to her is Dan Schneider fully clothed," culture writer Scaachi Koul said, per Daily Mail.

"And he is kind of saying, 'I created this situation. I am the reason we are in this hot tub. I am pulling the strings.' Maybe at the time people viewed it as a comedy but I think now some people are very uncomfortable with the implication," he added.

Dan Schneider was accused of favoritism, and some sources are now breaking their silence, seemingly confirming those allegations. According to insiders, one of Schneider's favorite stars was Amanda Bynes, especially after she rose to fame thanks to 'The Amanda Show'.

Bynes became Schneider's "new favorite" Nickelodeon star almost immediately after joining the network as others claimed they were "edged out."

Former 'All That' star Leon Frierson, explained, "There would be times where Amanda would just be missing and a lot of times we would just hear that she would be with Dan - pitching ideas and writing," per Daily Mail.

Adding, "We were seeing them grow closer to each other on set."

In the 'Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV' documentary, Business Insider's Kate Taylor said "Dan Schneider's decision to have Amanda be the star of the show is forward thinking in a lot of ways. A lot of adult female comedians do not get their own shows without jumping through a million hoops."

Karyn Finley Thompson, who worked as an editor on several Nickelodeon shows including 'All That', 'The Amanda Show', and 'Drake and Josh', expressed how close Bynes and Schneider grew over the years, claiming, "There were many times that I saw Amanda sitting behind him, hugging him or giving him like a neck massage or whatever."

She went on to say, "Dan and Amanda had a close relationship and I didn't think anything different than that. The hot tub scene though, I always thought was a little odd."

Dan Schneider previously issued a statement to the documentary, which stated:

"Everything that happened on the shows I ran was carefully scrutinized by dozens of involved adults. All stories, dialogue, costumes and makeup were fully approved by network executives on two coasts. A standard and practices group read and ultimately approved every script, and programming executives reviewed and approved all episodes. In addition, every day on every set, there were always parents and caregivers and their friends watching us rehearse and film."

Stars who have made allegations against Schneider include former 'Zoey 101' star Alexa Nikolas and former Nickelodeon actress Jennette McCurdy.
