A SHEIN shopper is exposing the brand after allegedly finding a vial of human blood in her recent order and posting it on social media.
The video has gotten over 104,000 likes, over 2,200 comments, and over 8,000 reshares. In the comments section, several other users also admitted to finding vials of blood -- among other things -- in past orders.
SHEIN Gets Exposed
"I found a vial of human blood from a testing company," Anna said in her now-viral video that exposes the clothing brand. "It had no name, no doctor's office, no date," she continued.
Anna said she contacted the testing company, who claims they are trying to track down who the vial belongs to. The company also told Anna that they only ship blood between doctors, so they have no idea how this happened, saying this is "completely mishandled."
The CDC was also contacted by Anna, who has filed a report and will be "looking into it because it is a biohazard."
Anna called the local sheriff's office, who took the vial and are testing it. The sheriff's office says they will be reaching out to the CDC if they find anything concerning.
Vial Of Blood Found In SHEIN Order
"Just ordered dresses from SHEIN and the package came with an unidentified human blood sample," the TikToker wrote in the caption of the now-viral video.
Comments poured in on the video as fans could not believe what they heard.
"I never ordered from them, but this is terrifying," one user commented.
"Well, that's concerning," another wrote as one TikToker said, "That is crazy!"
According to the TikToker who posted, after the video went viral, and they were tagged in the comments section, the brand "reached out" and "personally called" them, although it is unclear what procedure or solution was taken.
Other SHEIN Orders Contained Tampons
"I had a tampon fall out of one of mine. It wasn't used, but it was crazy," one TikToker commented on the viral video.
"I found a dirty band-aid in my SHEIN package a little while ago!" another user said, adding, "I went back and forth with SHEIN to try and figure out what's going on and got nowhere."
Another user found a "used band-aid sewn into a top" that they ordered.
As one SHEIN shopper found bugs. "This happened to me, but with bugs! They wouldn’t send me a refund or do anything about it" the user wrote, adding, "There was over 200 bugs in my clothing and I opened my stuff IN BED."
SHEIN Put On Blast For Odd Items Found In Orders
Another admitted they "stop purchasing from SHEIN for years" because of "the strange happenings I've been hearing."
As one SHEIN shopper said they had a "LIVE Anole lizard" in their order. For those who don't know, an Anole is a type lizard, similar to a gecko.
In the second TikTok video from Anna which shows the blood vial, some were confused when they saw a photo of a needle from August 2023. It was later confirmed that those photos of the needle were from a friend who also had an issue with a SHEIN package at that time. The only thing in Anna's package was the blood vial.
The TikTok video gained so much attention that an X user even slammed the company. "This girl found a vial of blood from a cancer genetics research lab in her SHEIN package and Instagram deleted all her comments," one user wrote in a post.
SHEIN Under Fire For 'Violated Chinese Labor Laws'
This is not the first SHEIN has been put on blast as a few years ago, when SHEIN first became popular, it came out that it raised significant concerns over its impact on the environment and workers' rights. According to a report on LinkedIn, "investigations have revealed that employees work in unfit conditions, with long hours and minimal time off."
SHEIN has been accused of violating Chinese labor laws, "with evidence of informal factories set up in residential buildings, lack of safety protocols, and failure to provide proper contracts and fair wages." This has, of course, raised concerns about the ethical practices of the brand.
SHEIN has also been accused of significant environmental damage.
