Wendy Williams' problems continue to increase despite her poor health, with the federal government reportedly coming for her luxurious condo in New York City.

The former host of "The Wendy Williams Show" recently got slapped with a lien on her Big Apple home for what the government claims amounts to over half a million dollars in unpaid taxes.

Williams' pricey NYC condo, which she reportedly bought for $4.5 million in 2021, is at risk because the feds alleged she owes them a total of $568,451.57. The considerable amount was amassed from her unpaid federal taxes for 2019 and 2021.

According to records, the tax lien was created two months ago, in January; however, it wasn't recorded with the New York City Department of Finance until early February. To date, there does not appear to be any evidence that the issue has been resolved.

However, it is possible that Sabrina Morrissey, Williams' court-appointed guardian of her finances, has sorted out the lien. The financial officer was reportedly appointed sometime in Spring 2022, per TMZ, meaning she was unaware of the alleged tax violations.

The tax lien IS concerning, given that Williams' health struggles recently came to light. Last month, her team revealed she had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in a press release, writing:

"Over the past few years, questions have been raised at times about Wendy's ability to process information, and many have speculated about Wendy's condition, particularly when she began to lose words, act erratically at times, and have difficulty understanding financial transactions."

Williams' Health Struggles May Have Ruined Her Possible Return To TV

Shortly after news of Williams' health struggles broke, a former co-executive producer for her talk show deemed it would be "impossible" for her to return to TV. Suzanne Bass addressed her FTD and aphasia diagnosis in an interview, saying:

"Since Wendy's been off the air, there's been a huge void in both daytime TV and pop culture. I think there's always been a glimmer of hope for a comeback for her, but since this diagnosis, that seems impossible. It makes me very sad."

Bass stressed that she was "saddened" by Williams' situation as people had been "constantly saying, 'Wouldn't it be great if Wendy makes a comeback?'" Nonetheless, the entertainer's ex-producer was more concerned about her health than her inability to return to TV.

The Former Talk Show Host's Ex-husband Is Asking For Unpaid Spousal Support

Wendy Williams' Ex-Husband Goes To Court To Enforce Spousal Support Payments

Before news of Williams' tax lien broke, her ex-husband made waves by filing a lawsuit to enforce his spousal support payments. Kevin Hunter implored the court for assistance in collecting his unpaid dues from his former lover.

Hunter emphasized in the petition that he had stopped receiving the spousal support payments since January 2022 because of Williams's court-ordered guardianship. Stressing the financial strain caused by the lack of support, he wrote:

"This is an emergent matter because I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses, and having been without this income for twenty-three months has affected me greatly."

Hunter continued writing, "Therefore, I respectfully request that the Court require [Wendy] to immediately pay all severance payments which may be due and owing at the time of this Court's Order."

In his petition, Williams’s ex-husband claimed he chose to file a lawsuit because she violated a court order by withholding his spousal support payments. Hunter requested a portion of her SAG-AFTRA retirement plan to resolve this issue.

He claimed that her financial guardian failed to comply despite attempting to resolve the matter with Williams’ team since October 2021. Morrisey allegedly agreed to provide bank statements but later limited the disclosure.

Faced with the financial guardian’s uncooperative nature, Hunter stressed that he had “no choice but to file this motion in this matter.” The former couple were married from November 1999 to January 2020 and share a son, Kevin Jr.
