Fans Come To Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Defense

Following her prison release, while many rallied behind Gypsy, others were confused as to why so many idolized a murderer. After her newly found fame, some individuals flooded her Instagram comments sections with hate, but others came to her defense.

"Give this woman a break; she began to understand life at the age of 32," one of her followers commented, adding, "She has mentioned many times that escaping from her mom by getting rid of her wasn't the right way, but only those kids who experienced the same kind of abuse can comment hatefully, as I observe on every post. For those who are unaware, Gypsy Rose is believed to be a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, which is a psychological disorder where the caretaker either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it look like the child is sick to get charity or sympathy. Investigators believe Gypsy's mother suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Another one of her fans commented, "For everyone saying mean things to Gypsy…. Do you KNOW actually what her mother did to her?!?"

They added, "She forced her to take out her teeth, removed her saliva glands, forced her to get stomach surgery [and] to have a feeding tube put in, shaved her head, force fed her tons of medications, forced her to have multiple surgeries, and pretend she was paralyzed."

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Serves In Lip-Syncing Clip

Gypsy, a huge Swifte, had a bit of fun lip-syncing to Taylor Swift's hit song, 'Mean,' in a newly shared video clip. Some think that the 32-year-old chose this song as a dig at her haters, but others found it to be ironic.

"It's funny the irony of this song she's calling her bullies mean but she killed her mom that was pretty mean," one follower wrote, adding, "And she Definitely could've done something she just wanted her mom dead."

The now 32-year-old spent the last seven years in prison for co-conspiring to kill her mother with her then-boyfriend, who remains behind bars. Gypsy previously said she felt the only way out of the abuse she endured from her mom was to kill her.

For those who are unaware, according to medical records shown in the 2017 docuseries, ‘Mommy Dead and Dearest’, Dee Dee took her daughter to the hospital over 100 times from 2005 to 2014. She also underwent multiple surgeries, which were later deemed unnecessary. Some of those surgeries included gastrointestinal operations, eye procedures, and the removal of her salivary glands.
