'Back To The Future' Actor Crispin Glover Files Restraining Order Against His Ex

Crispin Glover wants his ex, Lunar Ashes, to stay 300 feet (100 yards) away from him. 

According to new legal documents obtained by The Blast, the "Back to the Future" actor has sought a restraining order, alleging an assault by a former partner.

In the documents, filed on March 4, Glover asserts that he suffered facial injuries, with three photos of a bloody face provided for reference. Although he claims that he does not know the names of any witnesses of the assault, he is sure 911 has a recording of his call to them regarding the attack.

He also reports that Ashes has been charged with felony assault for the incident, which occurred on March 2. As the 59-year-old recalls in the filing, he previously told his former girlfriend not to enter his property as he planned to place her things on his "front porch."

However, Ashes ignored Glover's instructions and forced her way into his home. He alleges that the 29-year-old then called "someone to harm" him, and it was when he called 911 that Ashes attacked him.

The filmmaker shared another instance where Ashes attacked him in December 2023. He notes that while it might have been "partially accidental," he was hurt when Ashes hit him with a piece of luggage.

In yet another instance, Glover claims that Ashes asked him "strange questions that seemed out of context" in their "intimate relationship," which made him realize "something was off." At that point, he told his ex that she was "no longer welcome in his house."

Things later took a turn when Ashes played him a recording of that same conversation, which confirmed her ulterior motives for the "River's Edge" star. "She had been leading questions to badger me during the recordings to play to other people to weave a false narrative," Glover states.

The Hollywood star says he wants the court to slam Ashes with a no-contact order and a stay-away order, as well as order her not to engage in harassment, perpetrate attacks, commit strikes, issue threats, and execute assaults, among others.

Additionally, the New York City native wants Ashes to "delete any recordings" she took of him "without his consent," with the court permitting him to record his future conversations and calls with her.

Glover even asked that Ashes go to a mandatory "52-week batterer intervention program," which has "weekly classes on accountability, abuse effects, and gender roles."

In an episode of the podcast "Disrespectfully," co-hosted by Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan, Maloney disclosed an encounter with Glover. She recounted that following their meeting at the Sundance Film Festival in the 2000s, they had an outing that resembled a date.

The native of Park City, Utah, the annual host city for the Sundance Film Festival,  revealed that she first met Glover at her previous job at a local "gifting lounge" that was frequented by celebrities. 

During their short exchange, the actor asked Maloney if she would like to see a screening of his movie, to which she agreed. However, the "Vanderpump Rules" star soon learned that Glover had other ideas. As the television personality recalled:

"It was so strange. I show up, I see him — he's like, 'Oh great, you're here. Let's go grab our seats.' I thought he was just going to put me on a list and I'd show up, watch the movie and bounce. Oh, no — I was there to go watch the movie with him."

The experience allegedly did not get any better as Maloney dubbed the film "the weirdest movie I've ever seen."

Maloney remembered that following the film's conclusion, Glover extended an invitation for tea at a nearby location. She described their interaction as a "very normal conversation," which gave her the impression that the outing was meant to be a date. 

Although the reality star did not communicate further with the actor after that encounter, she expressed that he was "very nice and kind" throughout their time together.

Even though the 37-year-old could not pinpoint the exact year their chance meeting occurred, PEOPLE noted that Glover premiered his directorial work, "What Is It?" at the Sundance Film Festival 2005.
