Rumors and conspiracy theories have been trailing the Royal Family since Kate Middleton became noticeably absent from public view following her abdominal surgery in January.
Now, amid those increasing inquiries, a Royal insider has stipulated that nobody knows what is truly going on with her health.
The Silence On Kate Middleton's Health Challenge Has Palace Insiders Agitated
Despite Princess Kate's representative releasing a statement to US media that echoed Kensington Palace's previous emphasis on her current state of good health, one source has suggested knowing nothing at all.
In fact, the palace insider dubbed the overall lack of information as a complete "radio silence" concerning the mother of three's condition.
In case you missed it, the Palace disclosed on January 17 that the 42-year-old underwent a "planned" abdominal procedure the day before, refraining from providing further details on the cause.
They pointed to Kate wanting the public to respect her "wish that her personal medical information remains private" while emphasizing that the issue was non-cancerous. The Palace also revealed that the Princess of Wales would not be resuming public royal duties until after Easter.
However, — and as already mentioned, the ambiguity surrounding the reason for her procedure has fueled speculation about her health and whereabouts.
Responding to this speculation, a spokesman reiterated on February 29 that Kate would remain on hiatus from public engagements until after Easter. The spokesperson declared:
"We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant."
As the Princess' husband, Prince William continues to receive well wishes on her behalf, royal historian Amanda Foreman informed PEOPLE, "She is their MVP, without any doubt. She is in so many ways the most like the late Queen."
Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith similarly added to the outlet, "She's so central to the monarchy and the future." It certainly does not help that King Charles is also facing a health problem that has limited his public appearances.
Early last month, Kensington Palace detailed via a statement that the patriarch's "recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement" unveiled "a separate issue of concern" that "subsequent diagnostic tests" identified as "a form of cancer."
The statement also shared that King Charles has started a series of regular treatments, which means he will need to put his public duties on hold for now. On that, Bedell Smith claimed:
"Everybody feels unsettled by uncertainty, and there is too much uncertainty that is surrounding the monarchy right now. Queen Elizabeth used to say, 'I need to be seen to be believed.' It is important for Charles and his reign for the public to know a little bit more."
The Palace Has Excluded Kate From Attending This Year's Trooping The Colour
Despite all the commotion about Kate's health, the Palace made one thing clear — she will not be attending the upcoming Trooping The Colour event in June.
Drama about her attendance began when the Ministry of Defence, through their website, claimed that the Reading-born celebrity would participate in the annual soldiers' review at the Horse Guards Parade in London on June 8.
Nevertheless, a statement issued by her Kensington Palace office on Tuesday stressed that there was no consultation regarding her scheduled appearance. As The Blast observed, Kate's name has already been removed from the website following the detraction.
Meanwhile, the annual review of soldiers, which includes the participation of 1,400 soldiers, serves as a precursor to the Trooping the Colour parade. This event is a significant ceremonial occasion and is part of the celebrations leading up to the official birthday of King Charles.
Considering the King's ongoing health challenges, it is unclear if he will participate in this year's event. Notably, the customary annual event often showcases Prince William in the company of other royals, such as Princess Anne, participating on horseback.
