Travis Kelce Raves About 'Amazing' Australian Date With Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift continue to prove that distance isn't a problem. The Super Bowl champion jetted off to Australia to support his girlfriend during her Eras Tour.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar recently recalled one of the couple's sweet moments from the trip, revealing how much he enjoyed their date at the Sydney Zoo.

He shared the behind-the-scenes details in Wednesday's episode of the "New Heights" podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.

Kelce enjoyed his time in Australia, especially when visiting the famous zoo with his girlfriend. He raved about the date to his brother, describing Swift as the "best thing possible" while recalling how they loved meeting and feeding exotic animals.

The couple saw creatures like kangaroos, red pandas, rhinos, koalas, and more. But the NFL star particularly loved having an up close and personal interaction with the red pandas, which he compared to a "friendly raccoon." He said:

"One of my favorite things is the zookeeper, the one showing us the red panda. We had to go in a cage just to go in and see the panda in, like, the panda area, and they're like, 'All right, make sure that door's closed, and when you get outta here quickly, close this one because they are escape artists,' and I was like, 'This thing just got so many brownie points from me, dude!'"

Kelce and Swift also fed the koalas, an interaction the athlete enjoyed, given the animals' calm nature. "[We fed] the eucalyptus leaves to koalas. They weren't doing anything. They were just chilling. That's what koalas do. They just chill," he recalled.

While he enjoyed interacting with the smaller animals, Kelce couldn't help but feel intimidated when the couple got to "pet a rhino." He confessed that it was "terrifying to be even in the same pen" as the large animal, saying:

"That thing had just got done running down around in mud. Like, me petting it was like me putting my hand on a plastered wall. That thing was rock-solid, and it was jumping around and stuff. It was real playful."

Kelce and Swift also saw two African elephants, a tiger sitting outside a treehouse, and a lion. Although he loved meeting many animals, including apex predators, the athlete was thankful these creatures didn't live in Kansas City.

"I saw a crocodile, which is f—ing way bigger than an alligator. Thank God they are not prominent in the United States," he exclaimed. As stated, Kelce's "amazing" date with Swift occurred last month when he visited Australia during the singer's Eras Tour.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was seen waving to fans, singing along to his girlfriend's songs, and even handing out guitar picks, per PageSix. Recalling fans' reactions on the podcast, Kelce praised their enthusiasm, declaring:

"Sydney did not disappoint. I'm pretty sure the crowds over there are — well, they're already rowdy. The Australians are pretty rowdy. They like to have a good time. I like to have a good time."

Kelce admitted he enjoyed how "f—ing loud" the crowd was and claimed his girlfriend is "very fond of performing in Australia" because of the people. "Shout-out to Australia for showing up, showing out," he added.

Kelce and Swift's love has been thriving for months; however, the athlete has faced unique challenges over their romance. The duo have received significant attention since their relationship went viral in 2023, with curious fans going as far as visiting the NFL star's former home.

Before his romance with the "Bad Blood" hitmaker began, Kelce lived in a modest home in Kansas City. Unfortunately, he was forced to change residence following the unwanted visitors who frequently waited outside his house.

The nine-time Pro Bowler's brother confirmed he moved because of these unsolicited guests during an appearance on Shaquille O'Neal's "The Big Podcast." In his words:

"I mean, he [Travis] had to move completely out of his house. People were just standing by his house…Yeah [he had to move out] for safety reasons."

Kelce switched from his modest residence to a $6 million sprawling mansion that covers 17,000 sq ft of prime property. It featured six bedrooms and baths alongside the added advantage of being located in a gated community.
