Shortly after Kody and Janelle jointly disclosed that their son had passed away on March 5, Meri showed her support for them. She reshared the former couple's statement, featuring grainy throwback images of Garrison in his National Guard uniform.
She added her own message at the end, stating: "Garrison, you are loved and will be missed!"
Meanwhile, Kody and Janelle's original statement began with them noting how "deeply saddened" they were "to announce the loss of our beautiful boy" before they continued:
"He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory."
Reacting to the reposted message dropped on Meri's Instagram page, one person commented, "What?!?!? I had to read it twice. Oh Meri. I am so sorry for such a huge loss. That boy put smiles on so many faces. This is such a tragedy. Praying for all."
A second follower expressed, "Oh my gosh, my jaw just dropped. I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how you guys must be feeling. Praying for your family. I know how much your children mean to you."

"Meri, I am so sorry for your loss. May peace come to you and your family. My heart goes out to you," a third fan said as a fourth declared, "Sending you and the rest of the family so much love, prayers and support. We are all so devasted. It was an honour to watch sweet Garrison grow into the amazing man he became. Always in my heart."
At the same time, this online citizen user penned, "My heart is broken for y'all, especially for Garrison himself. I hate that he felt that was the only option for whatever he was going through. Praying for you all - I can't imagine."
The Instagram user's use of "only option" referred to Garrison being pronounced dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Blast reported that police officers were called to Garrison's residence on Tuesday morning after receiving reports of a death.
Authorities report that Garrison's brother Gabriel discovered his lifeless body. At present, foul play is not suspected, and it is unknown if a suicide note was left behind.
Nonetheless, an investigation has commenced to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his tragic passing. Garrison was the fourth child of Kody and Janelle, who featured on the family's popular reality show, "Sister Wives."
Last year, his mother, Meri, and one other wife, Christine Brown, divorced Kody and left the marriage.

Just days before his passing, Garrison made his final post, telling fans that he had opened his home to a new rescue cat. Underneath a mirror selfie of him cuddling the feline and another of him reaching out to all his cats, he typed:
"Newest edition to my home, Ms. Buttons. She's 9 years old and was on the line for euthanasia but my savior complex couldn't suffice. #crazycatlady."
Ms. Buttons became a part of Garrison's life alongside his two other cats, Catthew and Patches O'Houlihan. The late Guardsman took pride in being a cat dad and always openly shared his love for his furry companions with his Instagram followers.
Following the heartbreaking news of his death, the comments section of the Instagram post quickly became a venue for people to pay their respects.
"Rest in peace Garrison. Absolutely heartbreaking. Thank you for saving this kitty before you left. Heaven just gained an Angel," one bereaved fan detailed.
Another sympathizer "RIP Garrison, you had such a beautiful soul. I never thought I could be so sad over someone I've never even met before but I feel that's the impact you've left on a lot of us."
