Kate Middleton's uncle, Gary Goldsmith, has shared his views on how the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, altered the royal family dynamic.
Goldsmith noted that Prince William, Princess Kate, and Prince Harry were "really comfortable together" until the Duke of Sussex married Meghan, whom he slammed for putting a "stick in the spokes" and creating "so much drama."
Kate Middleton's Uncle Slams Meghan Markle For 'Creating Drama'
Tuesday's episode of Celebrity Big Brother saw the stars getting to know each other and engaging in various conversations. Goldsmith was seen speaking to Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne just as he settled into the house, sharing his views on the royal family dynamic.
According to the Daily Mail, he called out the Duchess of Sussex for putting a clog in the wheel of William, Kate, and Harry's relationship after getting married to the latter.
"I have an opinion that Harry was really, really, really loved, and when they were a threesome, Kate, William, and Harry, they looked really comfortable together, and then suddenly there's an extra dynamic that comes in, puts a stick in the spokes, and creates so much drama that I don't genuinely think is there. And rewrote the history, saying how unhappy he was, and I just don't think that's fair," he said while admitting he has not met Meghan.
Goldsmith continued, "I mean, you can't throw your family under the bus in such a dramatic style, then write books about it and expect to be invited around for Christmas."
Gary Goldsmith Thinks Prince Harry Will Join The Royal Family Again Someday
The 58-year-old businessman, who is the younger brother of Kate's mom, Carole Middleton, also claimed that Harry will someday become a royal again.
Speaking to Walsh and Osbourne, he said, "I think it's really sad. At some point, I think he is going to come back and be a part of the gang again. He might need to."
He added, "We are a very forgiving nation, it would be nice if he did."
The outspoken uncle of the Princess of Wales also noted the worst thing he has said about Harry was that he wouldn't "make my pub quiz team," as Osbourne added her opinion, calling Harry "foolish."
"I think he is foolish, but he is not a bad person," Osbourne noted.
"In the beginning, they were very, very well received. They don't understand it, but they do love it, you know? But it's dwindling, dwindling, dwindling, and there's been some deals that they have done that haven't worked well," the TV personality added of Harry and Meghan's reception in the U.S.
Kate Middleton's Uncle Addressed Rumors About Her Health
According to The Mirror, he recently hit out at the wild conspiracy theories surrounding Kate's health status after she underwent abdominal surgery in January. Kate has since been ruled out of royal duties until after Easter as she continues to recover from the procedure, with Kensington Palace insisting that she was "doing well" last week.
Her uncle noted that "there's a reason" behind her disappearance from the limelight and that conspiracy theorists "should leave her alone right now."
"They are giving her a little bit of space. I just think it's fundamentally wrong, and if it was happening to anybody else they would think to give them some space. But because Kate's Kate, she does such an amazing job, there's always interest in her. She's the number one royal for a reason and I just beg people to give her some space," he noted.
After a short rant about being "family-centered," he shared his get-well wishes for his niece, saying, "Kate, get well, love you, and when you're ready, we'll see you again. That's what we do to anyone else, why not her?"
Gary Goldsmith Says He Won't Embarrass Kate Middleton
In his final interview before entering the "Celebrity Big Brother" house, Goldsmith insisted that he'd keep a calm head and not embarrass the Princess of Wales or his family.
Royal experts had previously touted his appearance on the ITV show as the "last thing" Kate needs and said that the Middleton family will hope he "gets the thumbs down from the public pretty smartly."
He had previously been caught in a drugs sting by the now-defunct News of the World newspaper in 2009 at his Ibiza villa, the Maison de Bang Bang when he was taped giving hard drugs to an undercover reporter. He also has a conviction for assaulting his wife.
Speaking ahead of his "CBB" entrance, Goldsmith was asked if he had Kate's blessing to appear on the show, but he replied, "No."
"I don't need to do that. My being on the show has not been a topic for debate. I love my family; they can trust me that it's all going to be okay," he added.
