The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals [PETA] have their eyes on Victoria Beckham

Just days after the television personality's Paris Fashion Week show was interrupted by PETA activists urging her to ban animal leather from her collections, they are upping the ante.

The animal rights group posted a video on social media appealing to Beckham to avoid being part of the "bloodbath" and go vegan for her fashion brand.

Even though Beckham's autumn-winter womenswear range at the fashion show featured boxy blazers and sheer dresses, the event was overshadowed by activists from PETA advocating for the adoption of vegan leather.

The group has now followed up with a clip showcasing a blindfolded woman hitting a cow-shaped piñata at a party until what appeared to be animal body parts and blood spilled on the floor.

Within seconds, the particles on the floor were surrounded by other partygoers, who grabbed what they could from it. While some picked bags, others got shoes, and a couple of others fought over a fashion item.

The video closed off with the first woman pulling the blindfold off her eyes to a bloody scene that shocked her. The words, "Over 1 billion animals are violently killed for their skin every year. Don't be part of the blood bath. Wear vegan," also appeared across the reel.

PETA reiterated its message in the video's accompanying caption, "This video will haunt you long after it ends. Don't be a part of the bloodbath. #WearVegan."

Other posts contained in the thread claimed, "It's time everyone took off the blinders," "Animal leather is always the product of extreme violence – no matter where it comes from. #LeatherTakesLives," and "Animals are NOT fabric. Always choose ethical and eco-friendly leather made from apples, grapes, pineapples, and mushrooms."

Since posting the clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, a few hours ago, it has gotten a handful of reposts and replies. One viewer even replied with a GIF of a man getting ready to eat the steak before him, alongside the sarcastic caption, "I am haunted by not having a steak available."

Regarding the drama at Beckham's Paris event, BBC reported that PETA disrupted it by joining her models on the runway. Protesters donned white T-shirts with messages like "Turn your back on animal skins" and "Animals aren't fabric" and held up placards proclaiming "Viva vegan leather" to advocate for cruelty-free fashion.

Although the former Spice Girl's fashion brand abstains from using exotic skins or fur, PETA has since noted that certain designs still incorporate leather. As the group's president, Mimi Bekhechi, stated:

"No garment or accessory is worth violently slaughtering and skinning a sensitive and intelligent animal. We are urging Victoria Beckham to turn instead to the ethical and eco-friendly innovations available today, such as high-end leather made from apples, grapes, pineapples, mushrooms and more."

Travis Kelce Admits He Is 'Protective' Over Taylor Swift

As it turned out, Beckham is not the only celebrity to have gotten on PETA's wrong side this year. Just last month, Fox News disclosed that the nonprofit organization called out Taylor Swift and her man, Travis Kelce, for their visit to Sydney Zoo.

Per the outlet, the couple was seen enjoying a "private tour" date at the location before Swift's concerts as part of her ongoing "Eras Tour" in the city. Unfortunately, that move did not go down well with PETA, whose Director of Captive Animal Welfare, Debbie Metzler, expressed in a statement:

"While we understand all too well the appeal of seeing Australia's wildlife, PETA hopes that next time Taylor and Travis want to see wild animals, they'll spend their time and money at a true sanctuary."

Besides getting dragged for observing Australian wildlife, Swift and Kelce also faced criticism for feeding a young kangaroo during their visit. On that, PETA emphasized that sanctuaries are preferable to zoos, as they prohibit visitors from feeding or touching the animals.

US media subsequently observed that Metzler's use of the phrase "all too well" was a clever way of employing Swift's 2012 song title and lyrics against her.
