There's No Fooling Him This Time Around! Ronald Gladden Returns To The Courtroom To Partner With Swash Laundry Detergent
Gladden was pretty excited to return to the courtroom to partner with Swash, a place his fans know brings back some fun nostalgia for the actor.
“I’m gonna be doing this campaign with Swash for this upcoming year. I’m very much looking forward to it,” he told The Blast exclusively. “Who doesn’t like making the mundane experience of laundry a little more exciting? It’s just very convenient to use and it stuck out to me.”
Gladden said he’s a “clean, methodical individual” so this partnership just makes sense. And with spring right around the corner, he said now is the time to get a jump on spring cleaning.
“The best way to get ahead of spring cleaning is to start a little bit early. I’m a pretty clean, methodical individual so I try to stay clean and organized. That’s why Swash stuck out to me,” he said. “It makes the job easier.”
Gladden added that he loves Swash’s “It Smells Like Vacation” scent the best because, “who doesn’t love the smell of a tropical getaway.”
Ronald Gladden Had Quite The Experience While Filming "Jury Duty"
When Gladden responded to a Craigslist ad that read, “We’ll pay you for your time if you participate in this jury,” he couldn’t have known how his life was about to change.
Gladden starred in Freevee’s hit series “Jury Duty,” which followed the inner workings of a jury serving on a civil trial. Only one juror, Gladden, was unaware that the jury he was serving on was completely fake, everything from the case, the actors, and the courtroom.
“It was just at a transitional point in my life. Things just happened to line up perfectly. I was looking for something new,” he told The Blast.
“This just kind of came around and seemed like something that was interesting, much like my partnership with Swash. When it was presented to me I thought it was kind of out of left field, but I said this seems intriguing.”
When he found out that everything he thought was real was fake on “Jury Duty,” a lot was going on in his head.
“It’s very hard to answer because there was so much going on. It’s kind of like sensory overload,” he said. “The only way I could answer is disbelief. You couldn’t believe that the truth was actually the truth, that sounded like a lie at that point.”
If he had to narrow down what the best part of the experience was, he said it’s the relationships that were formed during filming.
“A lot of people don’t realize this but we had so much downtime during the filming that I genuinely got to know these people as real individuals,” he shared. “They told me real stories about their past. Maybe they changed the location or the name but I genuinely formed these relationships with these individuals and that’s definitely my biggest takeaway from this whole thing.”
When asked if he has a message for his fans, Gladden said, “Disrupt your own industry.”
“If I were to leave a message with somebody, just like Swash is trying to do, disrupt your own industry. Why not?” he said. “Take things on your own, try something new, be inventive, what’s the worst that’s gonna happen?”
