Joe Biden Brands Potential Taylor Swift Endorsement As 'Classified Information'

President Joe Biden teased about the possibility of a potential endorsement from pop sensation Taylor Swift for his 2024 presidential election bid.

When asked about the rumors of his plans, including an endorsement from Swift, Biden joked that any support from her was "classified information." The first citizen went on to divulge that the "Bad Blood" songstress, however, endorsed him in 2020.

During a recent appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," Biden was quizzed about the conspiracy theories suggesting that an endorsement from Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is in the works for his 2024 re-election bid.

According to People, the host pressed the president on whether he was "working in cahoots" with the pop star following speculation about her potential involvement in the 2024 election.

"Can you confirm or deny that there is an active conspiracy between you and Miss Swift?" Meyers asked.

"Where are you getting this information? It's classified. That's classified information," Biden responded, adding, "But I will tell you, she did endorse me in 2020."

Meyers pressed further by asking if her endorsement "might come around again" before Biden joked, "I told you it's classified."

In the wake of the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory on Feb. 11, a post shared on Biden's verified Instagram account ignited a fresh wave of speculations surrounding the Swift endorsement.

The "Dark Brandon" photo had the president smiling with laser beams shooting out of his eyes, along with the caption, "Just like we drew it up, @Chiefs."

Shortly after, speculations were rife suggesting that the Chiefs' big win was designed by the Democrats so that Swift could use the opportunity to endorse Biden for president in 2024 ahead of the election.

Biden had also posted a video earlier on his newly launched TikTok campaign account, which seemed to fuel the conspiracy theory.

In the video, Biden was asked if he was "Deviously plotting to rig the season so the Chiefs would make the Super Bowl or the Chiefs being just a good football team?"

"I'd get in trouble if I told you," Biden replied with a smile, after which the camera displayed a shot of "Dark Brandon."

Reports suggesting Biden wants to garner support from social media recently began making the rounds, with sources claiming that he wants Swift's endorsement to get his plans running.

Biden is reportedly planning to capitalize on Swift's popularity to attract and engage young voters and secure substantial financial support for his election campaign. Recent polling data suggests that a significant 18% of voters are "more likely" or "significantly likely" to support a candidate endorsed by the pop star.

Prominent Democrats have urged the president to prioritize engaging with Swift after a post from her last year about the upcoming elections resulted in 35,000 new voter registrations.

"I've heard you raise your voices, and I know how powerful they are," Swift posted on her Instagram Stories at the time, per NPR. "Make sure you're ready to use them in our elections this year!"

The president's campaign team is also optimistic about Swift's potential endorsement, considering her support in 2020 when she endorsed Biden.

During an appearance at an Ice cream shop with Meyers, Biden expressed hopes about a ceasefire ensuing between Israel and Hamas in Gaza by "next Monday," as the death toll climbs to over 30,000 according to health officials.

"Well I hope by the beginning of the weekend, I mean, the end of the weekend," Biden said after being asked when a ceasefire might start, per CNN. "My national security adviser tells me that we're close. We're close, it's not done yet. And my hope is that by next Monday we'll have a ceasefire."

According to the news outlet, Hamas had softened its demands as negotiations continued for a hostage deal and a pause in the fighting after Israel's accusation that its position was "delusional."

"The major obstacles have been resolved in terms of Hamas insisting on a full withdrawal of Israeli forces and end to the war," a senior Biden administration official told the news outlet, following the Friday meeting in Paris between the US, Israeli, Egyptian intelligence chiefs and the Qatari prime minister.

"Hamas' requirements for the numbers of Palestinians [prisoners that] would have to be freed has declined," the official added.
