Machine Gun Kelly Gets Vulnerable In New Song 'Don't Let Me Go'

The video of Kelly's latest single is currently racking up views on YouTube, and over 700,000 people have watched him re-embrace his rapping skills. The 33-year-old speaks of a challenging period in his life, with the opening lyrics addressing his mental health.

"Lately, my thoughts eating me alive. Laid in the bed thinkin' maybe the hate will finally go away if I'm not alive," MGK raps as he presses a finger gun to his head in the music video.

He also touched on his recent dramatic body art, rapping, "I had a breakdown and tatted my entire body except one line."

As for his fiancée's 2021 miscarriage, the "Emo Girl" hitmaker gets honest about feeling helpless when faced with the heartbreaking situation. He recalls not touching Fox's baby bump when they lost their unborn child, lamenting:

"How can I live with the fact that my hand wasn't on her stomach when we lost the baby? I don't got no one to turn to 'cause everyone's dead in my life that was tryna raise me."

Kelly shares more about his vulnerabilities and sadness, claiming he was "supposed to die at birth" and has been running from the secrets he hid as a child. He confesses to using music as an emotional outlet but notes people are oblivious to the things he writes.

"It's funny, 'cause if we just sat and talked, you'd see that it's just hard for me to be vulnerable," the 33-year-old rapped and then added, "'Cause I blocked it off. I got trust issues, growin' up. No one was there to hear what I thought. My heart was broken like my ribs as a kid."

MGK's song about Fox's miscarriage comes months after his fiancée previously opened up about their baby's demise in her 2023 book of poetry, "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous." The actress wrote:

"There is an ultrasound by your side of the bed, 10 weeks and 1 day … do you think that if she could have, she would have left a suicide note?"

"But now I have to say goodbye. I close my eyes and imagine holding you tight against my chest as they rip you from my insides," Fox continued. "I will pay any price, tell me please, what is the ransom for her soul?"

Months before returning to his rap roots, Kelly and his fiancée made headlines for allegedly being on the verge of a breakup.

The drama began in 2023 after the actress dropped a cryptic quote about "dishonesty" and deleted the couple's photos and videos before deleting her Instagram page.

Following the "Jennifer's Body" star's actions, the pair were seen in counseling together and reportedly spent months reconciling. They even took a "healing" vacation in Hawaii and were spotted enjoying a low-key movie date last July.

The lovebirds were photographed walking down the streets of Los Angeles and grabbing snacks at Erewhon Market before heading to a movie in Calabasas. This outing marked the first time the couple had been publicly seen together since May 2023.

While many speculated that their lack of public sightings might mean their relationship was still broken, a source claimed otherwise. The insider noted the duo had reconciled; however, their wedding was still on hold.

"They have done a lot of work to make their relationship strong again and are back together. They are engaged but are not wedding planning," the source explained. The informant doubled down on their reconciliation claims, stressing that Fox had begun wearing her engagement ring.
