Tom Brady Reportedly Slams Gisele Bündchen And Jiu-Jitsu Instructor's Dating Timeline

Amid news of Gisele Bündchen's budding romance with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, sources close to her ex-husband, Tom Brady, have come out to slam claims regarding their dating timeline.

Brady allegedly disagrees with reports suggesting that Bündchen and Valente only started dating in June 2023, after her divorce from the NFL legend.

Following reports of Bündchen and Valente kissing on Valentine's Day, a source close to the supermodel confirmed to People Magazine that they are actually in a relationship but are "taking it slowly."

"They have been dating since June. They're taking it slow. They started out as great friends first. She's very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other," the insider told the news outlet.

However, sources close to Brady disagreed with the report, claiming that the pair had been romantically involved way before June. "They should add 2021 after June. Then the headline would be accurate," a source said.

Another source said, "When they announced divorce in October 2022, Gisele fled to Costa Rica for 2 months. Joaquim flew there with her for 2 months. She takes her jiu-jitsu training seriously..."

Despite the conflicting reports on the relationship timeline, both Brady and Bündchen have moved on from each other and have been co-parenting their kids amicably.

Bündchen has known Valente for years as he has helped give her kids and herself jiu-jitsu lessons. Before their romance was confirmed, they were photographed at various locations in Costa Rica and, at one time, were seen enjoying a horseback ride together.

On the other hand, Brady is in an on-and-off relationship with supermodel Irina Shayk.

Before the recent confirmation, Bündchen claimed in an interview with Vanity Fair that there was nothing going on between her and Valente.

The mother of two told the publication at the time: "I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I'm divorced, I'm sure that they're going to try to attach me to anything."

Bündchen praised the jiu-jitsu instructor and his brothers Pedro and Gui, who co-manage the Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu studio, and highlighted how much he helped train her kids.

She said: "I'm so grateful to know all of them because not only have they helped me and helped my kids, but they have become great friends, and Joaquim especially."

"He's our teacher and, most importantly, he's a person that I admire and that I trust. It's so good to have that kind of energy, to have my kids around that type of energy," Bündchen added.

After news of Brady and Shayk's relationship made headlines,  reports claimed that Bündchen was initially "upset" due to the unforgettable memories she had with her ex-husband before their 13-year marriage came to an end.

"The emotions from that, especially after sharing children, were as emotional as it gets," a source told the Daily Mail.

However, Bündchen only wishes for Brady to find happiness, even if it entails being with another person.

"She knew she couldn't hold on to something that was never going to return, she knew this day would come, and she honestly would love nothing more than for Tom to be happy," added the insider.

They also noted that Brady kept Bündchen in the loop about his romance with Shayk, stating that they are still in contact due to their co-parenting obligations.

"Tom is not stupid either, he made sure that Gisele was in the know, and they still have that communication as co-parents," the insider said, adding that she is "in a good place with it all and is hoping for the best."

A source also spoke with TMZ about the supermodel's feelings, stating, "Why wouldn't she be happy for Tom? She divorced him. It is helpful to her freedom that he moved on."
