The Condition Of Children From Kansas City Shooting Revealed

12 children were hospitalized following the mass shooting that took place during the Kansas City ChiefsSuper Bowl celebratory parade. The conditions of all 12 children have now been revealed.
The tragedy left one individual dead and 39 people wounded, 23 of them with gunshot injuries. At least half of those people were under the age of 16.
Authorities initially detained three individuals while investigating the incident, however, one of those juveniles was released after it was determined he had not been involved. The other two juveniles are facing gun-related and resisting arrest charges in connection with the mass shooting.
Children Released From Hospital Following Kansas City Mass Shooting
10-year-old Samuel Arellano was one of the children who were shot at the Super Bowl parade. He was transported and treated at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Overland Park. By some miracle, a bullet missed his lungs by centimeters.
Two other victims, 10-year-old Madison Reyes and 8-year-old Melia Reyes, were struck by bullets during the mass shooting and were also treated at the children’s hospital.
Now, it has been revealed that all 12 children have been released from the children's hospital and are now back home with their loved ones.
“We have great news to share — all patients have been discharged from Children’s Mercy,” a hospital spokeswoman told The Post.

Before their release, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany, visited the children's hospital. The two have also launched an emergency fund to support victims of the mass shooting.
“Just like #ChiefsKingdom has always been there for me and my family, we want to be there for them," Patrick announced on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. "The @Chiefs have launched #KCStrong, an emergency response fund supporting victims and their families, violence prevention and mental health services, and first responders.”

Brittany also shared a message on Instagram shortly after the incident. “Shooting is never the answer. Praying for Kansas City & America in general, this is rough,” she said.
In another post, she added, “Highly embarrassed and disappointed in this, Super Bowl wins will never be the same because of this, it’s devastating. Lives lost and people injured during something that was [supposed] to be a celebration. Horrible and traumatizing. So many prayers going to the families involved.”
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also released a statement following the tragedy. “I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today,” he said, adding, “My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”
Linebacker Drue Tranquil was the first to speak out, expressing, “Please join me in prayer for all the victims in this heinous act. Pray that doctors & first responders would have steady hands & that all would experience full healing.”
A motive for the shooting is not yet known, though authorities have ruled out terrorism but rather “a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire.”
