Super Bowlweek transformed Las Vegas into a bustling hub of excitement, especially with the array of athletes that touched down at Circa Las Vegas and Barry’s Downtown Prime.
Circa became the arena where legends from different sports mingled, offering fans and onlookers an unforgettable sports experience.
The festivities kicked off with an appearance by Joe Montana, a name synonymous with football excellence. Known for his cool demeanor under pressure and leading his team to four Super Bowl victories, Montana is often hailed as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. He and his wife, Jennifer, enjoyed a top-notch meal at Barry’s Downtown Prime, before touring the kitchen with the restaurant’s Celebrity Chef/Co-Owner Barry Dakake, leaving everyone in attendance starstruck by their presence.
Over at Circa’s elevated cocktail lounge, Vegas Vickie’s, there was a sighting of Santonio Holmes, celebrated for his pivotal role in one of the most memorable Super Bowl finishes, capturing the MVP title with his game-winning touchdown catch in Super Bowl XLIII. Holmes was seen sharing a moment with 2x Super Bowl Champion/Kansas City Chiefs Defensive End, Mike Danna, and Circa CEO/Owner Derek Stevens, adding to the week's star-studded encounters.
The excitement continued to build with the arrival of Deion Sanders at Circa Resort & Casino. Sanders, also known as "Prime Time," and “Coach Prime”, is one of the most versatile athletes in sports history, having carved out legendary careers in both the NFL and MLB. His charisma and unparalleled talent on the field have made him a figure of fascination. Sanders had all eyes on him from the moment he walked into Circa, to his entry into Barry’s Downtown Prime, underlining his status as a sports icon. Circa Executive Richard Wilk hosted him and ensured his evening was exceptional, providing the ultimate VIP treatment.
Adding to the mix of legends was Andruw Jones, celebrated for his defensive wizardry and power-hitting prowess in Major League Baseball, primarily with the Atlanta Braves. Alongside him was DeMarcus Ware, an intimidating linebacker known for his relentless pass rush and leadership on and off the field, primarily with the Dallas Cowboys. Both athletes, dining at Barry’s during Sanders' visit, represented a crossover of baseball and football talent, captured in a historic photo with Chef Barry.
Frank Thomas, also known as "The Big Hurt" for his immense power and batting skill, further enriched the blend of sports legends. A renowned power hitter in baseball, Thomas' presence, alongside DeMarcus Ware, emphasized the unique intersection of baseball and football stars during the week.
The week also saw an unexpected but thrilling crossover into the world of slap fighting, as Power Slap winner Francesca Szabo and Nicole, Derek Stevens' wife, teamed up for a legendary tag-team takedown on Derek!
After the whirlwind of Super Bowl festivities had quieted down, Barry’s Downtown Prime had one more surprise visitor. Derek Carr, alongside his wife, decided to grace the establishment with their presence for dinner, and Circa Executive Richard Wilk made sure to take care of them, just as he has for many other athletes and celebrities this week, and for decades. Carr, known for his precision on the field and leadership as a quarterback, has earned admiration from fans across the league as he made his way into the restaurant, a wave of energy swept through the surrounding fans. Chants of "Go Saints!" filled the air, a nod to his new chapter, while others expressed a nostalgic sentiment, calling out, "We miss you on the Raiders!" This moment showed how deeply athletes can touch their fans' hearts, adding a special ending to a week full of unforgettable moments at Circa Las Vegas and Barry’s Downtown Prime.
Circa Las Vegas and Barry’s Downtown Prime became more than just venues; they became the hot spot for more sports legends than can possibly be named in one single article, drawing thousands of fans eager to partake in the Super Bowl festivities. The array of events, from Stadium Swim to the sportsbook and luxurious ballrooms, provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating the big game.
