Selena Gomez Wants To Switch 'Love On' With A New Single

Selena Gomez has announced that her fans will get a new single from her very soon!

The actress and singer causally disclosed the news in a recent social media post, which has already garnered more than half a million likes in less than 30 minutes.

Gomez has informed her 429 million followers of her impending plans to release a new song, more than a month after she declared she would choose acting over music. 

For the big update, she posted a picture of her album cover showcasing her in an all-white ensemble consisting of a robe, a towel wrapping her head, and white-rimmed glasses covering her eyes.

She is seen posing on what appears to be a balcony with a gorgeous blue body of water as her background. The image's casual holiday vibe was equally accompanied with a no-stress caption that read:

"Wait 'til I turn my love on. Presave my new song 'Love On' out 2.22."

"SOOOO EXCITED!!! we've been waiting for this for a long time, you don't know how happy we are now 🥹 love you so much," one Gomez fan page excitedly expressed in the limited comment section.

Another fan account echoed, "Caaaaant wait omg. We will be streaming," while a third declared, "We are so d—n ready Selegend," and a fourth claimed, "It's so exciting to see you back again.We are ready to stream it."

As mentioned above, it is easy to understand why her Instagram followers are enthusiastic about getting new music from Gomez since the "Only Murders in the Building" star previously shared her preference for acting.

During her appearance on the "SmartLess" podcast in January, she shared, "I do feel like I have one more album in me. But I would probably choose acting."

Despite the encouragement and praise from the podcast's hosts — Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes — Gomez remained steadfast in her desire to take a break, stating, "But I am gonna wanna chill 'cause I'm tired."

Amid her plans to take a break from music, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" actress made it clear that her man, Benny Blanco, was getting all her attention. She proved that point when she uploaded a series of photos to Instagram, starting with a view of her lover tending to her nutritional needs.

In the image, he is seen posing in the kitchen while preparing a tray of what appeared to be meatballs. Blanco was not alone in the kitchen though as his girlfriend took up space behind him, placing one hand on his shoulder and flashing a subtle no-teeth smile at the camera.

A second snapshot captured Gomez seated on her boyfriend's lap in a nude-toned outfit that highlighted her cleavage. While she leaned into Blanco with a small smile and her eyes closed, he grabbed her chest and kissed her shoulder. 

The couple, still wearing the same attire, reappeared in a third slide — and this time, the "People You Know" performer is spotted between her man's legs, playfully poking her tongue out. A pre-occupied Blanco showed his own affection by pulling his girlfriend closer with one hand on her back. 

For their final showdown, Blanco planted a kiss on Gomez's cheek from behind as she leaned toward a counter with her face turned to a side profile. 

"My bes fwend," the "Lose You to Love Me" hitmaker wrote beneath the sweet slides. Besides getting millions of likes, the post received a handful of comments from onlookers, with one declaring, "you two are absolutely beautiful together," and another exclaiming, "love this so much!"

Actress Ashley Park also expressed her approval, typing, "the best kind of best friend ❤️ so happy for you my sweet."
