NFL star Travis Kelcereportedly made his teammates cry while giving a pre-game speech ahead of Super Bowl LVIII.
As you know, the Kansas City Chiefsare set to take on the San Francisco 49ers at the big game in Las Vegas tonight, Sunday, February 11. As Travis has said multiple times in the past, he wants this Super Bowl ring more than he ever has, and he has been doing everything he can to prep to help his team take home that Lombardi Trophy.
In addition to practicing, Travis gathered his team together to deliver an epic pre-game speech, leaving some of his teammates in tears.
Travis Kelce's Moving Pre-Game Speech Leaves Teammates In Tears
According to several reports, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid reportedly asked Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Chris Jones to address the team the night before the Super Bowl.
“Chiefs coach Andy Reid had Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones address the team last night at the hotel. All were great. Kelce particularly so— 'Unbelievable' and 'powerful', according to people in the room, to the point where some teammates were moved to tears," reports have stated.
While videos have not surfaced of the speech, and they may not considering the speech was made in private with just his teammates, it sounds like Travis was able to really motivate his team ahead of the big game.
According to someone in the room, who spoke with CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson, "It was like a WWE-type speech. That was the best and most emotional team meeting in years."
Travis Kelce Is Ready For Super Bowl LVIII
Travis is coming off of a stellar game in the AFC Championship against the Baltimore Ravens has he caught all 11 of his targets for 116 yards. Fans are hoping he has a similar performance -- if not better -- tonight during the Super Bowl so he and the Chiefs can take home the Lombardi Trophy.
He hyped himself up for the big game with a social media post, in which he wrote, “Don’t listen to the 🌎,” as the song 'Daylight' by Disciples played alongside the clip. Leading up to the Super Bowl, many conspiracy theories have surfaced, accusing the NFL of rigging games to make sure the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
Theories also claim Swift’s recent appearances at NFL games were a plan thought up by Democrats to swing the 2024 presidential election for President Joe Biden.
In the recent video shared to social media, Travis is heard saying, “I want this one more than I’ve ever wanted a Super Bowl in my life.” He adds, “Where else would you rather be?” before shouting, “Let’s go!!!!!”
Travis is expected to have the support of his loved ones during the game as his brother, Philadelphia Eagles player, Jason, will be in the stands, along with his parents and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Jason previously fired Travis up after the AFC championship game, "telling me to go and get it and that we’re the best in the game."
"Just having his support is all I need. Seeing him at the game, seeing him get excited, that’s everything," he added.
Super Bowl LVIII kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET. The game will be aired on CBS.
