Ahead of the highly anticipated Super Bowl 2024 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, Adele has come forward to defend Taylor Swift against detractors who are having issues with her attending football games.
The music icon attributed Swift's presence to enhancing the National Football League (NFL) viewing experience, saying she made it "more enjoyable to watch." Swift is expected to attend the game today to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs.
Adele Defends Taylor Swift From Detractors
The "Hello" hitmaker threw in a word in Swift's defense during her Las Vegas residency show on Saturday. It comes after Swift's presence at the games in support of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, seemingly struck a nerve with some fans, who have since registered their displeasure about it.
In a video making the rounds on X, Adele is seen addressing the crowd as she says the "Bad Blood" singer made the NFL "more enjoyable to watch."
"... And all of you that are complaining about Taylor being at the game, get a f------ life. It's her f------ boyfriend!" she said, referring to Kelce.

"It's actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch because, like I said, I have no idea what's going on," Adele added.
The British songstress didn't stop there; she also shared her support for the team she wants to ride to glory in the Super Bowl, throwing her weight behind the Kansas City Chiefs.
Taylor Swift Will Be At The 2024 Super Bowl To Cheer On Travis Kelce
As the countdown to kickoff continues, Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, has confirmed that Swift is en route to the highly anticipated event and will be present to cheer on her boyfriend.
According to People magazine, Gracie shared that the pop star is traveling from Tokyo straight to Las Vegas just in time for the big game. It comes after fans had speculated whether she would be present for the game after going on a 4-leg run of her Eras World Tour in Tokyo, which finished on February 10.
"She's coming! She's coming! We're excited," Gracie said at the Fanatics Super Bowl Party red carpet in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Gracie also told the news outlet that "there will be a Chiefs Kingdom afterparty that's been planned" if the Chiefs win, but she didn't mention whether Swift and Kelce would attend together.

Elsewhere during her residency, Adele shared a hilarious moment with none other than Kelce's brother, Jason. The Philadelphia Eagles center attended the event with his wife, Kylie, as he and the singer engaged in a mild conversation.
In a video seen on X, Adele was heard asking fans who they'd be supporting for the game as cheers from both fanbases yelled out their team names. Jason also threw his team's name in, yelling, "Eagles!"
In classic Adele fashion, she didn't hesitate to engage with the Philadelphia Eagles' star center, sparking a playful and lighthearted exchange between them.
"What did he say?" she asked the audience before jokingly telling Jason, "You sound drunk and like you're a football fan."
He could then be heard laughing at her joke at the end of the video. In another clip shared online, he was seen proudly singing along to Adele's "Someone Like You" with the rest of the audience.
Adele Sets 'Random' Munich Residency
The "Someone Like You" crooner recently announced that she will be holding four concerts in Munich this summer in a specially built stadium, something she described as "a bit random, but still fabulous," per the BBC.
According to her, she wasn't planning any more shows after her current residency ends in June, but that she had been tempted by the offer of "a one-off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on," which was "pretty much slap bang in the middle of Europe."
"I couldn't think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer," she shared before ending her post with, "Guten Tag babes x."
The shows will take place in an 80,000-capacity open-air venue in Germany on August 2, 3, 9, and 10.
