Cold and flu season has nothing on La La Anthony!
The former MTV Veejay has some secret weapons that help her navigate through the winter months when colds and coughs are usually at its highest, and she's willing to spill the tea!
La La Anthony Partnered With Delsym To Share What Helps Her Family During Cold And Flu Season
When a cough begins to make its way around Anthony's home, there are a few things she swears by to help ward it off and get everyone feeling better quickly.
In addition to trying to live a healthy lifestyle, Anthony, 41, credits two particular family recipes and Delsym for helping to keep her and her son healthy during the height of cold and flu season.
"For myself and my son Kiyan, Delsym has always been a staple in our household, especially with cold and flu season when it comes time to, you know, battling that and wanting to stay healthy. Delsym has always been our go to especially when the cough starts making its way around the house. Delsym is our go to, the number one doctor recommended 12-hour cough suppressant, and I love it. It just keeps us healthy," she told The Blast exclusively.
“I grew up in a Hispanic household and my mom always made Arroz Con Pollo soup. I’m not a great cook but definitely try to do that with Kiyan. I’ve mastered that recipe at least."

Anthony shared her family’s Arroz Con Pollo recipe and a video making the dish on her Instagram page.
"That’s our comfort go-to. If we are feeling down and just need to relax, definitely get the soup, get the Delsym, and it’s like a comfortable day," she said. "Sometimes you need that rest and reset day to bounce back and be great at whatever you’re doing.”
Another meal Anthony swears by is her Puerto Rican Chicken Soup recipe. These two recipes keep her and Kiyan healthy throughout the winter months.
And even though it's winter and often chilly out, it's totally possible to be fashionable along with being comfortable. Anthony said "cute sweatsuits" can be versatile and stylish.
“There’s so many cute sweatsuits and now the thing with sweatsuits is you can dress them up or down. You can wear boots with it or sneakers or even heels if you wanna go that way. It’s cool that you can take a sweatsuit and dress it up and down or wear a sweatsuit with a hoodie and a crop top if you wanna go sexier," she shared.
"Those are always comfortable options to where you’ll still be warm, but you can have a look at the same time if you want to.”
Healthy Living Is Important To La La Anthony And Her Son Kiyan
Keeping a healthy lifestyle is something Anthony strives for. She even schedules time for her workouts during the week.
"I try to live as healthy as I possibly can. I love working out which to me has been game changing. When you work out, you feel better, you look better, all of that stuff and also working out, I drink a lot of water, I try to eat healthy, so it all goes hand in hand," she explained.
"I make sure during the week, workouts are definitely scheduled, and my son is super athletic as well, so we stay on top of just taking care of ourselves and working out. No one wants to be down, no one wants to miss out on life and fun things because you’re sick, so we definitely try to take care of ourselves.”

Anthony's son Kiyan, 16, is beginning to think about colleges. He's gearing up for the next big chapter in his life, but Anthony is in no rush for that.
"He’s super excited [about college]. He hasn’t decided where he’s gonna go yet but it’s the next chapter in his journey which is very exciting but he’s in 11th grade now and playing [basketball] at his school and having a great time so I’m enjoying that," she shared.
"Definitely not rushing to get him out the house just yet because I know by the time we blink our eyes it will be done.”
It's Almost Time For Season 3 Of "Black Mafia Family" To Begin!
In addition to being a mom, Anthony has a long list of titles - New York Times best-selling author, producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and actress. Her hit show, "Black Mafia Family," or "BMF" is about to come back for its third season in a few weeks, and Anthony is psyched.
“'BMF' season 3 is premiering on March 1, so super excited for 'BMF' to be back. And then we start filming again in mid-March so back to work with 'BMF' which is something I’m incredible excited about," she told The Blast. "People waited for this season to drop and it’s finally here. Definitely looking forward to that.”
Anthony plays the role of Markisha Taylor on the Starz show. According to IMDb, the series is about, "two brothers who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country."
Other than gearing up for the exciting third season of "BMF" to begin, Anthony is also ready for some Valentine's Day, or Galentine's Day fun. When asked if she has any plans, she said, "You never know these days, so we'll just see what happens. I'm just going with the flow."
"I always say there’s no rules to Valentine’s Day," she said.
"If it’s a Galentine’s Day, if it’s about doing something nice for yourself, if it’s about hanging with your girls, if it’s about hanging with your partner, you know, it’s just a day of love and I think we can all feel that even if it’s self-care and self-love which is always important. It’s important to try and make that a priority.”
