The first surprise guest that Usher will bring up on stage with him at the Super Bowl Halftime Show has been announced!
As you know, the 'Yeah' singer will perform a 13-minute-long concert during halftime of Super Bowl LVIII -- a game that will feature the Kansas City Chiefsand the San Francisco 49ers.
Who Is Appearing Alongside Usher At Super Bowl?
Just moments after reports surfaced of Usher reportedly speaking to Justin Bieber directly about sharing the stage during the upcoming show, other sources have confirmed another singer will take the stage during the big show.
Usher and Justin Bieber have a strong relationship -- dating back to 2010 when Usher collaborated with Bieber on his song ‘Somebody to Love’. Bieber also looks up to Usher, even calling him a “big brother” at one point in time.
While fans will have to wait and see if Bieber appears on stage, they can start looking forward to hearing from the one and only Ms. Alicia Keys!
Sources close to the production company say they spotted Keys entering Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to rehearse for the upcoming show. Usher and Alicia Keys collaborated on the hit song, 'My Boo', so for all those fans who predicted Usher would perform the 2004 hit during the Super Bowl, you now get bragging rights.
The 'Yeah' singer recently commented on current predictions that are circulating social media, saying, “There have been these fantasy lists that have been going out, people trying to figure out what song I’m going to perform first, middle, last. I was very mindful of my past, celebrating my present, which is here in Las Vegas, and thinking about where we’re headed in the future. And that was a good idea.”
Fans can expect to see a few other familiar faces as Usher teased a few surprise guests during the 13-minute concert.
“I have definitely went through a lot of ideas of who I would have shared this moment with me and I do feel like the people who are gonna share it deserve just as much recognition for what they do in their careers – whether we have collaborated together or rather they’ve had moments of their own,” Usher said.
When asked if any guests “immediately” came to mind, he said, “of course.”
Usher To Take Stage At Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show
The singer previously spoke out on the opportunity, saying, “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before.”
Due to the big challenge of time, Usher was able to negotiate to have the show hit 15 minutes instead of 13 -- making it the longest Super Bowl Halftime Show in history.
The promo for the halftime show was mainly focused around his hit 'Yeah', a song which featured Ludacris and Lil Jon -- so perhaps they will make surprise appearances as well.
Usher will take the stage during Super Bowl LVIII, which takes place on Sunday, February 11 in Las Vegas.
