Former football star and acquitted murderer O.J. Simpson has been diagnosed with cancer.
The 76-year-old was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in Las Vegas, Nevada.
OJ is known for his time in the NFL, where he played for 11 seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills. Obviously, he is also well known for being accused of a double homicide which includes his wife Nicole Brown Simpson.
Plus, in 2007, the former NFL player was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada, and charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. In 2008, he was convicted and sentenced to 33 years in prison, with a minimum of nine years without parole.
He was discharged from parole on December 1, 2021.
OJ Simpson Undergoing Chemo For Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, with many growing slowly and are confined to the prostate gland, where they may not cause serious harm, according to the Mayo Clinic. However, other types are aggressive and can spread quickly.
OJ claims the cancer is not terminal, and says he is not in hospice care. In other words, he is not dying.

As you may know, OJ is notorious for his criminal background history. It all started on a June evening in 1994, when OJ's ex-wife and her friend, Ron Goldman, were found stabbed to death outside her condo in Los Angeles. The former Buffalo Bills player quickly became the prime suspect.
The incident led to one of the biggest police car chases in history as OJ failed to turn himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department, and, instead, hid in the back of the infamous white Ford Bronco driven by his friend and former teammate A.C. Cowlings.
O.J. called 911 from a cell phone from inside the white Ford Bronco, which allowed police to track the vehicle. OJ had a gun to his own head, resulting in police surrounding the vehicle at a slow speed for 90 minutes. The entire thing was televised, and ultimately ended with his arrest when they reached his home in Brentwood, CA.
Approximately 95 million people nationwide tuned into the car chase. O.J. was taken to the Los Angeles County Jail and placed on suicide watch.
The Notorious OJ Simpson Trial Becomes One Of The Biggest In American History
The highly publicized trial, known as the O.J. Simpson murder case, lasted from January to October 1995. It has gone down as one of the most famous trials in American history.
The former NFL star stood by his innocence at the time and said that he was "absolutely 100% not guilty" for the murders of his ex-wife and her friend, Ron Goldman. After the nine-month murder trial, OJ was acquitted.
Despite his acquittal in the criminal trial, he is still the face of controversy.
OJ's legal troubles continued as in 2007, he was arrested and charged with armed robbery and kidnapping.
OJ Simpson has confirmed he is not in hospice as many friends and family members have stated, and he plans to have “a ton of friends” over for the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 11.
