Fresh allegations of abuse have emerged against actor Jonathan Majors, as detailed in a recent report by The New York Times. The article, published Thursday, features accounts from two women, Emma Duncan and Maura Hooper, who claim to have dated Majors.

Duncan alleged instances of physical and emotional abuse, while Hooper claimed emotional abuse during their relationship.

Describing her relationship with the Marvel supervillain, Duncan portrayed him as controlling and threatening, leading to isolation from friends and career aspirations. She said, "You lose your sense of worth. She added: "At first you feel, 'Oh, I'm being loved, and then you feel, 'I'm being erased.'"

In response to the allegations, Majors' lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, admitted in a response to People magazine that the former Marvel actor had "toxic" relationships with the women and "did say hurtful things."

However, the attorney denied several claims of physical abuse, stating: "These relationships were between young drama students, and all began with mutual intensity," with Hooper dating Majors from 2013 to 2015 and Duncan from 2015 to 2019.

Along with the fresh allegations came details surrounding Majors' past relationships with the two ex-girlfriends.

One incident allegedly involved Hooper becoming pregnant during their relationship, with Majors dropping her off at an abortion clinic but failing to escort her home afterward.

Responding to the allegation, Chaudhry stated: "Mr. Majors and Ms. Hooper mutually agreed that they should end the pregnancy."

"That deeply sad event is still a painful memory for Mr. Majors," she added.

Additionally, during the "Creed III" actor's relationship with Duncan, which began at Yale School of Drama in 2015, he allegedly made frequent violent threats.

Duncan claimed he threw her across a room once, though Chaudhry denied this, admitting only to "serious arguments."

Despite the allegations, Chaudhry emphasized that Majors "is choosing to take responsibility for his own part… focusing on himself, and addressing his lifelong depression."

The New York Times article also referenced interviews with collaborators of Majors from his HBO series "Lovecraft Country."

While the Emmy award winner was described as "a buddy to male technicians and craftspeople," he was reportedly "testy and prone to [an] argument" with the women on set who cautioned each other to be wary around him.

Allegations include instances where Majors intimidated female crew members. Despite HBO advising the actor to apologize at the time, Majors' lawyer claimed he had "never been told that anyone objected to his behavior."

According to his lawyer, Chaudhry, "Mr. Majors is a method actor, well-respected for his ability to immerse himself in character. Countless female producers, co-stars, and members on set can attest to his professionalism."

The new allegations follow Majors' conviction in December for misdemeanor assault in the third degree and harassment charges in the second degree in a domestic violence case involving former girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

The alleged domestic violence occurred on March 25, 2023, and during the trials, Jabbari testified that Majors injured her during a dispute over a text message she saw on his phone suggesting infidelity. This resulted in a physical altercation when she grabbed the phone from him.

During the altercation, she claimed that Majors forcibly removed her finger from the phone, struck her head while attempting to retrieve it, and subsequently tossed her back into the car.

In the meantime, prosecutors have until March next month to respond to the motion.
