There's an upside to unemployment for former NBA star/coach Derek Fisher — he's no longer on the hook for spousal or child support.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Fisher stopped getting paid by the New York Knicks on June 30, 2017, dropping his income down to the low, low price of zero.

As a result of his divorce from wife Candace, Fisher was paying $109,000/month in spousal support and $15,000/month in child support.

But Fisher argued that since his run as Knicks coach was over, and he didn't have a job lined up, he shouldn't have to pay anything. Candace is also sans employment, according to the documents.

A judge agreed and recently ordered neither Derek nor Candace owes the other any form of support, but left open the option to request it if either one of them started making any money.

It's not all bad news for Derek: he did have a short run on "Dancing With the Stars," so that's got to be a little something. Plus, he still owns $2.7 million in stocks, bonds and assets, as well as $3.4 million in other real property.

For now.
