Darius Rucker's ex-girlfriend is speaking out on his recent arrest, shading the country music singer and calling the incident "karma".

The Hootie and the Blowfish member was busted for a minor drug offense on Thursday, February 1, 2024, and was booked on three separate misdemeanor charges.

While it is unclear exactly what led up to Rucker being taken into custody, we do know the country music singer was arrested on two counts of “simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance” and on violation of the state’s vehicle registration law.

It has been reported that the vehicle charge is related to having expired tags.

Just moments after news broke that Rucker was arrested, his ex-girlfriend, Kate Quigley, broke her silence, calling him a “d-b-g ex” and said the bust was "karma."

“Yes. I’ve heard. All I can say is Karma,” Quigley wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Thursday evening.

She then followed up by sharing a revenge photo of herself in a blue bikini and sticking her tongue out. “Mood when u hear your d-b-g ex got arrested. #Karma,” she wrote alongside the steamy pic on Instagram.

It is unclear what happened between Ricker and Quigley, but the former couple called it quits just before the former Playboy TV’s 'Undercover' host suffered an accidental overdose.

Quigley allegedly used cocaine that was laced with fentanyl while at a neighbor’s party alongside fellow comedians Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli, and their friend, Natalie Williamson.

While the drugs landed Quigley in the hospital, Johnson, Colangeli, and Williamson, unfortunately, passed away following the overdose.

“I am still shocked & devastated by the loss of my friends Fu, Rico, and Natalie,” Quigley said at the time. “Words cannot describe the pain I am feeling & I will be changed forever by their passings.”

Following her release from the hospital, she spoke out on the incident, stating, "Thank you to everyone who reached out to me over the past week. I feel overwhelmed by the outpouring of kind messages and am incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a strong community of friends, family, colleagues, and fans who have offered their support during this time; and to the team of paramedics, nurses, and doctors who saved my life."
