Tiffany Haddish is going to serve zero jail time after striking a plea deal with prosecutors in her DUI case.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the comedian appeared in a Los Angeles County courtroom today and pled no contest to reckless driving.
As a part of the plea deal, the other charges have been dropped. This is very common in DUI cases, and is referred to as a "wet reckless."
The comedian was placed on summary probation for one year and ordered to complete 40 hours of community service. Plus, Haddish was ordered to complete the "Mothers Against Drunk Driving's Victim Impact Program" and the "HAM (Hospital and Morgue) Program."
According to the legal agreement, Tiffany will pay the standard fines and fees to the court, along with finishing the "Driver's Education Program (standard program for a wet reckless conviction.) She was also given a "Watson" admonition.
A “Watson advisement” is a formal statement you must sign after being convicted of DUI. It says you understand that driving under the influence can injure or kill people, and it can be used against you if you ever cause a DUI accident in the future.
Tiffany Haddish Busted For Multiple DUIs
As we reported, the comedian was arrested by the Beverly Hills Police Department after performing at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. At the time, cops were called at 5:45 am after a car was stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive. Haddish was reportedly slumped over the wheel of her car, while it was running. Unfortunately for Haddish, the entire thing was caught on tape.
Fortunately for everyone else, she wasn't involved in an accident.
Shockingly, this isn't the first time this has happened to the actress. She was also arrested in Peachtree, Georgia after someone called saying a person was sleeping behind the wheel of their car in a residential neighborhood. She was booked for DUI and improper stopping on a roadway.
