It looks like Justin Timberlake has absolutely no intention of apologizing to Britney Spears following the release of her October 2023 memoir "The Woman In Me."

In her tell-all book, the Princess of Pop recalled how he pressured her into terminating a pregnancy and included more allegations of infidelity. However, she apologized for the backlash that he had received twice, insisting that she never meant to "offend" anyone with her words.

The "Cry Me A River" crooner recently released a song named "Selfish," which is the same name as a song on Britney's 2011 Femme Fatale album. After her song started charting higher than his, she took to Instagram to issue him another apology and told her followers that she loved his new music.

However, during a performance in New York City on January 31, Justin revealed that he had no plans to return the olive branch. Instead, he doubled down, insisting that he had "nobody" to apologize to.

Justin Timberlake Refuses To Apologize To Britney Spears Following Her Apology

Over the weekend, the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer took to Instagram to say that she liked Justin's new music and issued an apology for things that she wrote about in her memoir.

“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry… I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish,’” she wrote in the caption. “It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Although some fans speculated that she had been "hacked," a source later revealed that her support for her ex was genuine. “Honestly she just wanted to wish him well. She really does like the song,” an insider told People magazine. “She’s a kind person.”

“She genuinely just loves good music. She was curious about [Timberlake’s] new tracks, and she really likes his new music,” a second source added. “Britney has a good heart and is full of compliments when she likes something. She always speaks her mind. That’s what’s so special about her.”

A few days before "The Woman In Me" was released in October 2023, the "Toxic" singer explained the "purpose" behind her book and explained that she did not mean "to offend anyone" with her tell-all book.

“My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means !!! That was me then …that is in the past !!!” she began. “I don’t like the headlines I am reading …that’s exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago !!! Most of the book is from 20 years ago … I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here !!!”

“I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life !!!” she continued. “Either way, that is the last of it and s--- happens !! This is actually a book didn’t know needed to be written … although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future !!!”

“Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel particularly alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood !!! Again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it’s dumb and silly !!!” she concluded. “I have moved on since then !! #TheWomaninMe.”

Justin Timberlake Seemingly Rejects Her Apology In New York City

While performing in New York City on January 31, Justin said, "I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to f---ing nobody," despite Britney's two apologies.

It seems that he might have changed his tune a bit since performing at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas last month. Before performing “Cry Me A River,” Justin said, “No disrespect.” A source told the Daily Mail at the time that although the "Crossroads" actress "appreciated" the gesture, he never reached out to her to apologize directly.

However, given his recent statement in New York City, fans have doubts about whether the two exes will ever reconcile.
